MICROSOFT AND COMPUTERS 4 KIDS ANNOUNCE PROGRAM TO DONATE COMPUTER
TECHNOLOGY TO SCHOOLS

Middletown, CT, June 15, 1995 -- Microsoft Corporation and Computers 4 Kids
are joining forces to provide hardware and the latest version of Microsoft
software to schools that cannot afford to purchase such technology. With
Microsoft's donation of Microsoft Windows, MS-DOS 6.2 and Microsoft Works,
and computers donated to and refurbished by Computers 4 Kids, schools
which qualify for grants under Computers 4 Kids guidelines will receive,
free of charge, computer systems which will enhance academic curricula and
prepare students with appropriate technology skills.

Microsoft's software contribution allows us to bring information technology
into the hands of children," said John Gallant, CEO of Computers 4 Kids.
"Without the software, the computers we donate would not offer the
educational benefits that we strive to achieve."

"We are proud to contribute to an organization that recognizes the need for
all children to have access to the latest technology," explained Bob
Jones, district manager for Microsoft. "Whether in business or at home,
computers will play a role in their adult lives. We want to make sure
children have the technical knowledge they need to succeed."

A press briefing will be held on June 21, 1995 at 2:00p.m. during the PC
Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center/Room 1E06 in New York, NY. The
briefing will offer more detailed information about Computers 4 Kids and
the program with Microsoft.

Computers 4 Kids is a nonprofit organization that accepts, refurbishes, and
donates computer technology to schools nationwide. The organization
believes that by giving children access to computer technology, they will
be prepared to communicate, compete, and succeed in our technologically
driven world.

Since 1992, Computers 4 Kids has placed over 1,400 computers and donated
over 2,500 units of software, to more than 100 different schools and
nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. In addition,
Computers 4 Kids provides valuable technical support to the recipient
schools through their volunteer database.

The monetary value of these donations is estimated to be over half a
million dollars, but the true value is in the opportunity these donations
provide to children who otherwise would not have access to computers.
Currently located in Middletown, CT, Computers 4 Kids plans to open
offices in six other states in the organization's continuing effort to
promote technology proficiency within education.

Computers 4 Kids was established by Weston and Marie Pullen in 1992. The
Pullens, who began donating computer equipment to schools in 1987, decided
to formalize a nonprofit organization in order to solicit used computers
from corporations and increase the number and quality of these donations.

Corporate sponsors such as Microsoft are enabling enabled Computers 4 Kids
to reach its goals. Through their donations, corporations ensure that
Computers 4 Kids can continue to provide children with the tools necessary
to compete and succeed in our global economy.

Founded in 1975, Microsoft (NASDAQ "MSFT") is the worldwide leader in
