Compulink's LaserFiche Imaging Software Installed at Oregon State Lottery

LaserFiche NLM/Windows Chosen for client/server; full-text search

SAN FRANCISCO, California, April 1995, AIIM Show - Compulink Management
Center, Inc., announces today that the Oregon State Lottery has installed
its LaserFiche NLM/Windows software for a document imaging project.
Integrated Computer Systems (ICS) of Portland, Oregon, won a bid to
install LaserFiche NLM/Windows and NetWare 4.1 as part of a complete
client/server networked imaging solution to archive paper, prevent lost
documents, and speed up background investigations at the Lottery.

"LaserFiche was designed for people who need to quickly archive and
retrieve high volumes of paper documents," said Chris Wacker,
Vice-President of Marketing at Compulink. "By working together with our
resellers like ICS, we can provide top-notch solutions for any company or
government agency looking to move away from paper, microfilm and
microfiche."

"The Lottery Committee evaluated proposals based on client/server and
full-text search capabilities, security features, and technical support,"
stated Dennis Tomlin, President of ICS. "We're pleased that the Lottery
has selected us on that basis, and are confident that LaserFiche will
provide them with the most intuitive and easy-to-use imaging system
possible."

"We are currently performing a backfile conversion on the last ten years of
documents," said Lt. Greg Willeford of the Oregon State Police, Lottery
Security Unit. "Once this is done, we are looking forward to using
LaserFiche to reduce the amount of paperwork and improve the workflow in
our department."

LaserFiche document imaging has been selling since 1988, winning LAN
Magazine's 1993 Imaging Product of the Year Award last January. LaserFiche
NLM is the only client-server imaging solution on Novell NetWare that
includes full-text search and an intuitive, easy-to-use GUI. Its
client-server architecture minimizes network traffic and delivers better
data integrity and faster search performance. In addition, the full-text
search engine uses fuzzy logic to insure that users will find the
documents they are looking for.

LaserFiche software is priced from $495 for a stand-alone, and the
client/server network version ranges from $3,495 for an Entry Pack to
$44,995 for a 100-user Corporate Pack. The software is available through
resellers and distributors worldwide. Compulink Management Center, Inc.,
which develops and markets network document imaging software, is also a
Novell professional developer. Compulink is headquartered at 370 S.
Crenshaw Blvd., Suite E-106, Torrance, CA, Telephone (310) 212-5465.

Dennis Tomlin, President of ICS, has been an Authorized Compulink
Value-Added Reseller for three years. In addition, he has extensive
experience as a systems integrator, networking consultant, and business
re-engineering specialist. ICS is located at 4000 SE International Way,
Suite F103, Portland, OR 97222, Telephone (503) 794-1008.
