CARROLL TOUCH ADDS TOUCH-IN-A-BOX TO SCANNING INFRARED TOUCH SYSTEM FAMILY

NEW YORK, June 20,1995-- Carroll Touch Inc., a leader in the development
and manufacture of touch technology, today announced Touch-In-A-Box, a
competitively priced, fully integrated scanning infrared touch monitor
ideally suited to point-of-sale and financial transaction applications.

Touch-In-A-Box, the newest member of Carroll Touch's CT-70 product family,
features a 10.4-inch screen which mounts either on a tilt/swivel stand or
directly onto a wall with cable connections for VGA and RS232 PC ports. An
optional magnetic stripe reader can be attached directly to the monitor
frame.

Touch-In-A-Box is offered in monochrome, passive color or active matrix TFT
displays and ships with drivers for popular operating systems and devices.
Prices begin at $1,000 for the monochrome version.

Carroll Touch pioneered the scanning infrared touch industry when it
developed the first commercial applications for this technology in the
1970s. Today, Carroll Touch designs, develops and manufactures scanning
infrared touch input systems for computer monitors, terminals and flat
panel displays and holds more than 10 patents for infrared technology
alone.

Scanning infrared technology has several inherent advantages over other
touch technologies. It is easy to integrate with existing systems because
it is available in a nonintrusive clip-on design which retains
manufacturers' warranties and FCC certifications for the displays. Color
and clarity of the displays is also very sharp as scanning infrared
systems place no layers between the user and the display.

Due to its complete sealability and the inherent ruggedness of the
opto-matrix design, infrared technology is ideal for heavy industrial,
process control, medical systems and other applications where reliability
and resistance to shock and vibration are essential. With their patented
programmable amplification and servo-loop circuitry, Carroll Touch
infrared touch systems compensate for changing environmental conditions,
including fluctuations in ambient light and exposure to particulates,
dirt, dust and liquids.

Carroll Touch Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of AMP Incorporated, was
founded in 1973. Carroll Touch pioneered scanning infrared touch
technology in the 1970's and today is the market leader for guided
acoustic wave technology applications as well. Carroll Touch recently has
expanded its product line beyond the core business of touchscreens for
monitors and flat panel displays to position the company as the one-stop
source for the human interface market. Carroll Touch was the first in its
industry to offer a comprehensive five-year warranty and the first major
touch vendor to achieve ISO 9001 certification.
