Once Again Brother Demonstrates Why America Should Stick With P-Touch

Brother P-Touch PC lets you print customized labels directly from your PC

Somerset, NJ, June 20, 1995--Brother is sticking with something they know
better than anyone else--their wildly successful P-Touch Electronic
Labeling Systems and making them compatible with computers. It's called
the P-Touch PC and it enables users to print virtually any image from
their computer screen onto colorful, laminated adhesive labels.
Practically any combination of on-screen fonts, company logos, scanned-in
photographs, original graphics, and yes, even bar codes, can now be
transformed into customized labels-directly from your very own computer,
with the touch of a button!

This innovative, dedicated label printer can be used with both Macintosh
and IBM-PC compatibles right out of the box. The P-Touch PC software
includes several custom fonts, and supports both ATM and TrueType fonts.
For ultimate creative freedom in designing labels for computer disks,
peripheral ports, file folders, presentations, etc., the laminated
adhesive tapes are available in over 40 color/width combinations. The one
piece tape cassettes come in 5 sizes, from I /4 inch to l inch wide, and
offer quick and easy "pop in - pop out" changing. Over 250 special
scalable symbols are provided. The P-Touch PC also offers high-quality
thermal transfer printing and a bitmap graphics import feature.

UNBELIEVABLE-- THERE IS EVEN A PRACTICAL SIDE !

Thanks to its database handling capabilities and available non-laminated
tape, the P-Touch PC may also be used to easily and economically print
mailing labels. Runs of serial number identification tags can be generated
using its sequential numbering feature and bar codes can be generated--the
applications are endless! The P-Touch PC even offers the option of
automatically printing the date and time on each label and has a built-in
auto tape cutter.

Its ICON based Windows (version 3.1) and Macintosh (systems 6.0.7 or newer)
application software is designed specifically for this product so that
integrating images, text and database information is easily accomplished.
The P-Touch PC also comes with a powerful printer driver that lets users
print labels from other Windows and Macintosh packages. In keeping with
Brother's "all included" philosophy, the P-Touch PC includes a fifty foot
tape cassette, serial cables for both IBM compatible and Macintosh
environments, and a simple-to-follow user manual. Custom fonts, special
scalable symbols and pre-made label templates complete the package.

So don't get stuck in the rut of using the same old paper labels. Stick
with the P-Touch PC and you will be able to deliver sharp, colorful,
durable customized labels with ease and convenience.
