PC EXPO TAKES ELECTRONIC COMMERCE INTO CYBERSPACE, PROVIDES HANDS-ON
INTERNET THEATER FOR ATTENDEES

New Products in the Internet Pavilion and Internet Theater; Seminar Program
Introduces Internet Track; Second-Day Keynote to Discuss Electronic
Commerce

(New York, NY, June 20) -- PC EXPO in New York will open a new door to
cyberspace for thousands of show attendees during the show and conference,
starting today at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. For the
first time, PC EXPO will feature an Internet Pavilion, hands-on Internet
Theater, and a new Internet seminar track. Panelists in the second-day
keynote address at PC EXPO will discuss opportunities for electronic
commerce on the Internet.

Internet "newbies" can take a guided cyberspace tour in the Internet
Theater (Booth #771), sponsored by IBM Corporation and Advantis, the IBM
Global Network, through hands-on access to the Internet at more than 40
workstations. Internet "navigators" will help PC EXPO attendees connect to
the Net, and provide an understanding of the tools and resources available
to businesses.

Both established and emerging companies will showcase Internet tools and
services in the Internet Pavilion, sponsored by NetGuide magazine.
Exhibitors will include: Accent Software, Cathay Pacific Airways, Fortune
magazine, Global Enterprise Services, Internet Online Services, Internet
World magazine, The McKinley Group, O'Reilly & Associates, Pipeline New
York, PSI Net, SPRY, Sun Microsystems, The Wollongong Group, and other
companies.

"View from the Top: Electronic Commerce in the Year 2000 . . . If We Build
It, Will They Come?" is the title of the second-day keynote panel,
moderated by Bill Laberis, editor-in-chief of Computerworld. The panel,
scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m., in the Special Events Hall, will
feature: Ted Leonsis, president, America Online; Paul Maritz, senior vice
president, Microsoft Corporation; and John Patrick, vice president,
Internet applications, IBM Corporation.

PC EXPO's informative exploration of the Internet extends to the new
Internet track that will be introduced this year, as part of the PC EXPO
in New York Corporate Education and Training Program.

Three seminars and one half-day workshop will focus on the commercial uses
of the Internet:

* "Buildin" an Internet Fire Wall," Session #8, June 20, at 1 :30 - 3 p.m.,

#21, June 21, 10:30 a.m. - Noon, in Room 1E13, moderated by Mr. Tebbe;

* "Introduction to the Internet," Workshop #T4, June 21, at 1:30 - 5 p.m.,
in Room 1E09, moderated by David Kirsch, Technology Practice Manager,
SunNetworks, a Sun Microsystems, Inc. Business.
