THE FIRST COMPUTER SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM highlights the latest array of
Altec Lansing speaker models. The ACS500 is the first computer speaker
system designed to create theatre-quality surround sound for multimedia
computer users and features Dolby Pro-Logic circuitry; the audiophile
standard for true surround sound technology. The compact three-piece
ACS500 delivers five channels of surround sound in one listening plane and
has a suggested retail price of $450. Satellite tower speakers provide the
center channel, stereo imaging, and stereo surround sound channels and a
powerful 40-watt subwoofer extends the low frequency response to add drama
and bass to any multimedia computer program or presentation. Compatible
with all leading personal and micro computers and sound cards, the ACS500
comes complete with an integrated AC power supply.

The ACS500 is the latest advance in computer speaker performance and
technology from Altec Lansing, the company which created the world's first
audiophile quality computer speaker system in 1991.

FOUR OTHER NEW SPEAKER MODELS means that Altec Lansing continues to have
the industry's widest-array of speakers designed for business, educational
and personal multimedia computer users.

New Altec Lansing two-piece amplified computer speaker models include the
ACS51, with a suggested retail price of $100 and the ACS52, with a
suggested retail price of $128.50.

The ACS51 includes two powered satellite speakers, line-in jacks and
specially designed circuitry; allowing for mixing of two audio sources, a
convenient on/off switch and separate volume and treble controls. The
ACS52 also features a dual-function bass control and bass boost/cut.

Altec Lansing adds to its line of award-winning three-piece computer
speaker systems with the ACS53, which features two powered satellite
speakers and a separate powered subwoofer utilizing a unique multipath
acoustic chamber design. The ACS53 has a suggested retail price of $180
and joins the renowned ACS300.1 and ACS3.

The ACS53 also features dual function bass control with bass boost/cut,
line-in jacks and specially-designed circuitry allowing for mixing of two
audio sources, an on/off switch and separate volume, bass and treble
controls.

All three of these new computer speaker systems feature a patented phantom
sub output, which includes a cross-over designed to achieve better sound
separation across the mid and low frequencies.

Altec Lansing also introduces its second subwoofer via the ACS250, a
powered six-inch computer speaker system enhancement model. The ACS250
extends the low frequency response to add drama and bass to multimedia
presentations and entertainment and the acoustic enclosure is
specially-designed to optimize computer speaker efficiency. The
long-throw, high compliance driver is specifically-designed for use in the
computer environment and a rotary volume control is also included. The
ACS250 adds a full 40 watts of audio power and, like the popular ACS150,
is an easy upgrade to any computer speaker system. The ACS250 has a
