Installation
------------
Unzip files.
Place "Stranded!.unr" in your Unreal\maps\ directory.
Place trailer.utx and urban.utx into your Unreal\textures\ subdirectory.
Place "sbeta1.u" into your Unreal\system\ directory.

To run the map just double-click on the file name "Stranded!.unr" in the Explorer
window or type in at the Unreal console "open Stranded!".

HINTS for playing
------------------
If you are stuck, remember that sometimes you have to shoot things (with the dispersion pistol)
in order to gain access to places. Explore the areas thoroughly. As a concession to those with
slower machines (myself included) your own 45 pistol has been upgraded and can kill enemies
with ONE shot. Still, it plays much smoother on a fast machine. If you take a pistol off one
of the dead guys it's not as powerful. Hitting them can be tough. Yes, you CAN (and SHOULD)
jump into the back of the semi-trailer; just keep trying, you'll make it.

Be SURE to BIND A KEY TO RELOAD YOUR 45 PISTOL! I bound mine to the "x" key. Here's how:
At the console, while Unreal is running (the ~ key, or the tab key) type this sentence;

      set input X button bExtra3

where "X" is the button you want to bind to reload. You only need to do this once and it
adds a lot of fun to the playing experience. I've placed ammo so you don't have to worry
about summoning ammo while playing. Just grab it when you see it.

Extended description:
--------------------
Your truck broke down on your way to your final delivery of the day. You grab your trusty 45 pistol
and flashlight and head out to find help and/or get yourself out of there. What you find
instead is....bodies and people that seem to have gone mad!! Good thing you know how to
run a backhoe :)

Author's Notes
--------------
This is my first level. This level was a long labor of love complicated by
UnrealEd and the steep learning curve it takes to use it. The Web is full
of good advice though so keep looking if you are having trouble and www.planetunreal.com is
a great place to start. When using UnrealEd, don't resize or rotate brushes
when creating a mover! Resetting the rotation and resizing before making the mover
will save you time and lots of head scratching.

I rebuilt this level many times and half the time it would fill with water, even though the
water surface brush was WAY oversized. I never did get my exploding walls to explode from
rifle or pistol gunfire. They seem to need the dispersion pistol to work, but I may have
overlooked something. If you know, email me please. I also just discovered you can get over
the fences without keys if you try hard.
