Title : Space Pad
Filename : spacepad.bsp
Date of Release : Feb 16th, 1998
Author : Stan Stewart
Nick : ColdSteel
Email Address : sdstewar@erols.com
Description : Open deathmatch level for two to six
                          players. Quake 2 only!
Problems : None that I know of. Colored lighting
not there yet. I struggled with
poly counts and got them very
reasonable for such a big, open level
(I thought). I had some neat things
that just had to go. Ah, well, such is
                          the level builder's plight.

Background Info
----------------------------------------------------------------
I've been building Doom and Duke Nukem Levels for years. I
did a few Quake one levels but my friends never liked the weapon
mix for that game. Quake 2 is all that we've been waiting for.
This is the first Q2 level that I've released.
Players start in protected spawn areas with some armor and a
decent weapon to limit "baby kills".
Thanks to AzrKnight for 2 modified Quake1 prefabs that I got
from Bushboys prefab site and to my testers, Sgt. Fury and
Mad Dog for their support and suggestions.
I wouldn't play this level with really minimal hardware since
r_speeds in just a few places are a bit over 800.

HINTS

The utility of the BFG is limited because of the availibility
of power screens and the big spaces in the level. The railgun is
a deadly weapon in skilled hands here. You can get anywhere in
the level very quickly. There are a lot of little tricks that
you can do to get around and surprise others. Experiment
a bit and you'll see ;)
