* FOE3/4: Story *

Background: These levels follow directly from FOE2.

After surviving the surprise Strogg attack on the A.I.C.B. headquarters you managed
to make your way to the Strogg H.Q. in a mansion in the hills and wreak havoc.

After wiping out the whole nest of Strogg you find a shuttle craft primed and ready
for lift-off in a secret underground launch bay. Data on the Strogg computer tells
you what the Strogg are up to.

It seems that the Strogg launched an interstellar vessels some years ago designed to
reach Earth and establish a bridgehead for a full scale invasion.

In order to facilitate the invasion they intend to set up an interstellar
wormhole device to act as an instantaneous gate between the Strogg planet and Earth
orbit. A small preliminary gate is currently being prepared on the Strogg vessel...

Having discovered this information you decide that the only course of action open to
you is to get in the shuttle and head for the space station. When you get there you're
going to show these aliens just who they're dealing with...

I foyu can, you're going to stop them setting up the interstellar gate device. If it's
already up and running? Well, maybe that thing works both ways, in which case you might
just make a home call on the Strogg themselves...

* How to use this level *

These levels should really be run as a sequel to FOE1 and FOE2. If you have v2.0
of these files you should already have a c:\quake2\foe directory into which
you can unzip the contents of FOE3.ZIP. If the directory doesn't exist, create
it and then run the unzip. WARNING: DO NOT unzip the files into your baseq2
directory!
The game should be run starting from the FOE1 map by clicking on the
foe_skill2.bat file (or skill 1 or 0), or by entering e.g. "quake2 +game foe
+map foe1 +set skill 2" at the command line. If you wish to start the game directly
from FOE3 just specify "+map foe3" instead.
