* How to use this map (like you don't know this) *

- Copy "darkhall.bsp"  to "id1\maps\darkhall.bsp" (create "maps" 
  if necessary).
- Run Quake 
- Bring up the console 
- Type "map darkhall" (without the quotes) from the console.

* How to run the demo *

- Copy "dhdm.dem" to "id1\dhdm.dem"
- Run Quake
- Bring up the console
- Type "playdemo dhdm" (without the quotes) from the console.

I don't care what you do with this .bsp file, as long as you credit me and
leave this file intact.
The guys at id software probably DO mind. Read the docs that come with 
Quake.
