"Far Beyond Duked: Another Chapter" text documentation
                            (c) January 4th, 1997
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

This document provides complementary information about my Total Conversion
entitled "Far Beyond Duked: Another Chapter" the sequel to my other TC
known as "Far Long to Duke: Chapter One" I am proud to call this my
product, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!! (any suggestions
for the third dukematch only episode title is welcomed, please)

This Total Conversion should only be run with Duke Nukem 3D v1.4 or v1.5
Atomic Edition (or PPak)!!! Please, do not try to run this with Duke
Nukem 3D v1.3! (It won't work properly!)

NOTE: This was written in Windows 95 NotePad with a full screen editing
area, so if it looks wierd, try MAXIMIZING it as much as possible...

DESCRIPTION : A calaberation of DukeMatch only levels that are set
together to be played easily. I went to lots of trouble
making these levels and/or finding the best ones I could,
so that this would be very enjoyable for you guys. I did
lots of work with the titles as well, just to be creative
and stuff. I hope you enjoy playing F.B.D.!

To install/uninstall - Go in to your :\duke3d directory
and run the fbd_on.bat/fbd_off.bat by typing "FBD_ON"
to install FBD, or "FBD_OFF" to uninstall FBD! It's that
simple. (NOTE: It won't ruin any files if you accidently
run one of the .BATs twice in a row, but don't use the
FBD_OFF.BAT before the FBD_ON.BAT, or you may lose an
                  important GAME.CON file!)

I also did some great .CON working during the making of
F.B.D. and decided to include it in this conversion as
well as all the levels and music. If you open the USER.FBD
file using EDIT or something, you can turn on/off some
of the major modification done on F.B.D. Just fallow the
instructions for each change, I tried to make it very
user-friendly, so you won't even have to try and read all
the GAME.FBD script and try to figure out how to change
the settings. Just fallow it, and you will be satisified.

CREDITS : 3D Realms for making some awesome 3d shooters, Richard
"LevelLord" Gray for being my still favorite level builder,
all the crew at 3D Realms, Apogee, and TEN and all of you
                  guys reading this text documentation.

BETA TESTER(S) : Paul R. West (RedXiii666@aol.com) Thanks to me cousin Paul
for being my only tester so far, and the only one who can
find the time to be my BETA TESTER!

COMING SOON: : My cousin and I are know exclusively working on our three
episode conversion called "Duke Nukem Gold!" I hope to
get this to the public as soon as possible.

*** Level/DukeMatching information ***

In the FBD2.ZIP there are several .MAP files. You must not delete
them to run Far Beyond Duked currectly. Please, do not delete any of the
files in the FBD2.ZIP!

"Land of Lost Souls" <-- dm_soul.map by: Kross

This is your first arena of the game. It's smaller then some levels,
but still is big enough to run around in. All the primary weapons are there;
even though you may have to search for them! Has some good bird-eye view
like forts and other type of sitting spots to kill your enemies from.

"The War Games" <-- dm_war.map by: Kross

A level dedicated to strategy. Try hunting for your enemies in the
many large areas of this board. There is a small base styled area for you
to look around the level from where the first person starts. Try not to lose
the enemies in the large maze area, and the final battle arena room is good
for one on one attacks.

"Cage Match" <-- dm_cage.map by: MjrTremor

Another small level with plenty of "spot-n-shoot" areas to knock
off some easy kills from. The large open area in the middle leaves plenty
of space for the use of the Rocket and Devistator. There is little room for
using the FreezeThower and Shrinker, but they are also included for fun!

"Tha Swamp" <-- dm_mud.map by: Kross

A small and dark arena with a water area that adds to the extreme
hunters routines. Like ducking under water and poping up on your enemies.
Also has some nice caverns to hide in for some other sorts of suprise
attacks! Godo wide spread area for using the RPG if only it was brighter
so you could actually see far away enemies.

"Somewhat City" <-- dm_city.map by: MjrTremor

A large city level with tons of room. This arena uses many ideas
from DukeMatching. Try to find the player through the several buildings
and the small parking area. All and all this is a seek and destroy level
since it is bigger then most.

"Drill Facility" <-- dm_drill.map by: MjrTremor

The last intense fighting arena is a running drilling facility
that was just attacked by the aliens. Level made to be a medium size with
several areas for close and far away attacks. Weapons are spread out, but
they are all there. The devistator is on a noisy slow elevator, so if you
want it you have to risk getting blown to hell by awaiting Dukers. Be
careful in this arena or you will die!

.CON Workings

Okay, I have included a list of the possible setting availably
by editing the USER.FBD file. If you mess up the .CON files I have inclued
I will NOT replace them personally, but I will help you if the problem is
easily fixable. Most setting you can change by turning the number behind
the "define WHATEVER" line from either 256 or 0. 0 meaning the function is
off, and the number 256 always means it is on. I hope this is simple enough
for you guys...

Fallowing settings are included in the USER.FBD file in conjunction
with the GAME.FBD file and DEFS.FBD files:

* Exploding RubberCans - When you shoot then, they don't dent, they explode!
* Weapon Spawners - When killing a RubberCan, it will spawn some cool weapon.
* NukeBarrel Mine - Get close to a NukeBarrel and watch it explode like a mine!
* FireBarrel and FireVase killers - Kills you faster then normal when above!
* FireBarrel and FireVase Fire Burst - Tons of fire when it dies!
* FireBarrel and FireVase Fight Back - Shoot RPG at you when killed (default off)
* Female Rescue - Teleport Females away and rewards you. (default off)
