Explanation of the levels. (Note the tacky levels names. I tried to make
them a bit like 3dRealms level names e.g. "Hollywood Holocaust", "Hotel Hell").

"The Pallasades"
This level is a mall above New Street Station. It's quite small and all the
guns are concentrated in the gun shop near the end of the level, so get there
first! In reality there are multiple exits to other areas of town like the
Bull Ring Shopping Centre, but they are closed off. The level end is situated
by the exit ramp which leads to New Street. This level has no keys or locked
doors and is pretty easy, so no excuses for dying!

"Nuked Street"
New Street is the main shopping area of the city centre. There are loads of
cool things on it which I missed out due to space and time constraints. Duke
crosses the chain link fence in the Pallisades and goes down the ramp leading
to the rest of town. There is Stephenson Street which runs parrallel to
New Street which you can explore too. The exit leads on the Victoria square.
Note that New Street is pedestrianised which means there is no actual road
for cars! There are a lot of sniper points in the appartments so get there
first and pick off the enemy. The weapon of choice for this level is
actually the pistol because there is a lot of pistol ammo about and the
long streets are best for long range pot shots.

"Fallout Forum"
This level contains both Victoria square and the Paradise Forum. Victoria
Square has the "Fluzzi and Jacuzzi" fountain, behind which is the town hall.
There are curved steps leading up the the Forum, which is a very small shopping area mainly with resturants. The exit is by the revolving doors leading out. Get ready with your pistol again because Duke is under fire from the start.

"Centenery Shootout"
This is my favorite level. Duke once again crosses the locked up
chain link fences leading out to Centenery square. He goes along a walkway
which leads onto Centenery square. The road on the left is Broad street.
This square is where many celebrate the new year, as well as the place where
many open air exibitions and events take place. Before Duke can exit the level and enter the ICC he must get the key from the REP which is a small theatre. I especially like the detail at the start of the level, like the exterior of the Forum. Just walk forward a bit and turn 180 degrees.

"Conventional Warfare"
The International Convention Centre is the setting for this level. The aliens
have made a nest in Symphony hall, which you must destroy. The yellow key is situated within the nest, and this will give you access to the conference hall, which contains the exit key. This level is quite complicated in design, but is nothing compared to the real thing. Also note it is the only level with keys in. These are only there to force you to destroy the nest and visit the convention hall.

"Brindley Battleground"
This part of town is newly developed and parts of it are still under construction. It uses the traditional red brick of the Victorian industrial revolution buildings. The Brindley Place has some high class resturants in it, including a Sushi Resturant so it is not out of place. I particularly like the fountains later on in the level, they look so realistic. If you follow the canal along you will eventuly reach the NIA, and the exit. Beware, for the square with the fountains in really is a battle ground!

"N.I.A. M.I.A."
Will Duke go missing in action? I doubt it. The National Indoor Arena is the
place where many sports events and exibitions are shown, including "Gladiators." You may have seen the Davis cup being fought for in the NIA in Easter `99. The NIA features seats which can be removed to create a pit, the state at which Duke finds it when he arrives. Duke must find as much heavy weaponry as he can before the final confrontation of the Cyberlord in the main arena. You can ride a lift up to the lighting gantry and bomb the baddies, but the best place to be is the control room. You can see all the areas of the NIA on camera, change the lighting of the area, and it`s also a great place for sniping!

I hope you enjoy this episode, because I worked damn hard to produce it. I just ask two things of you. Firstly, why not visit the city and see how well I replicated it for Duke3d before the town planners knock it all down! Second, I would like some feedback on this. I know Duke3d is an old game and I want to know if lots of people still play it. If so, then I will try and turn out more of this sort of stuff. I`ve already made plans for a large red light district based on the Pigalle in Paris, a town in the desert, a large hotel, and some groovy city levels. Unless I get any feedback, so know a lot of people will play them, it is unlikely I will complete them.
