PillarSoft began as a name to write under during my Dos days. Programs were written in Asic (a compiled subset of basic) and subroutines were written in assembler. After moving to OS/2 when Warp v3 was announced I gave up writing mainly because I was never in Dos anymore and as I understood it the writer was insulated from the hardware in OS/2 so all the interrupts and registers etc. would not be available (as far as I knew) to me. What do I know about writing for a GUI? I decided to try my hand at programming for a GUI (OS/2 & Win) so I tried a couple of products, ordered one that would go cross platform and it never showed up. Hmm... so I get on Indelible Blues' home page (these guys' are on the ball) and decided to order "VisPro/Rexx" instead from IB. In about three days it was on my doorstep. Since then?... I'm just having a ball...
