 INTRODUCTION ͵

DoomTex converts all of the textures from DOOM I or DOOM II
into the Wad2 format used by QuakeDM and other Quake level
editors. It makes a file called DOOMTEX.WAD

For more information about converting DOOM levels into Quake
 levels, see QUAKEDM.TXT.

 COPYRIGHT ͵

The textures in DOOM and DOOM II remain the property of
id Software. You MAY NOT DISTRIBUTE the resulting DOOMTEX.WAD
file, just as you may not distribute DOOM or DOOM II. The
textures you convert are for your own personal use. If someone
else needs them, distribute DoomTex instead and they can
 convert the textures for themselves.

The author of DoomTex takes absolutly no responsibility
whatsoever for this program. You use it at your own risk and
must bear the consequences of using it. If you do not like
 this, delete the program NOW.

 CONVERSION OPTIONS ͵

To use DoomTex, simply copy it into your DOOM or DOOM2
 directory and then run it.

If run without any parameters (default), DoomTex will generate
 DOOMTEX.WAD, containing the textures.

If run with the -d parameter, DoomTex will scale the intensity
of each color down, thus producing a darker result. This
may make the textures a little darker and thus more fitting
 for Quake levels.

Keep a look out for a program called the Quake Desktop, which
is a program I am writing to manage utilities such as this
