                            A NOTE TO WINDOWS USERS

A version that installs to Windows is available.
Contact Rogue Marketing. KIDDisk is Windows-friendly!

If you have the Windows Install version, just
double click on KIDDISK.EXE or choose "File" then
"Run" then A:\KIDDISK (if it's on your A: drive).

If you have the DOS install version, just follow
these instructions to install to Windows.

         1. Copy the files from this disk to a sub-directory of your
choice on your hard disk, (C:\KIDDISK for instance).

         2. Start Windows (PROGRAM MANAGER) and click the top of the
main window (program group) in which you want to include
         KIDDisk, to activate the group.

         3. Select NEW from the FILE menu. Select "Program Item" and
then click on OK. For Program Description type: KIDDisk.
         For Command Line type: C:\YOURDIRECTORY\GO.EXE
where C: is your hard disk, and YOURDIRECTORY is the
subdirectory in which you have copied the KIDDisk files
(C:\KIDDisk\GO.EXE for instance). Leave the "Working
Directory" box blank. Then click on CHANGE ICON. You will
get a message saying "No icons available . . .", just click
on OK and then in the ICON file box type
         C:\YOURDIRECTORY\KD.ICO
And that's it. If you are not experienced with Windows, you
may have to try it a couple of times to get everything right.
After installation you can simply double click on the KIDDisk
         icon to start the program.

                                              MOUSE

Some users have reported confusion about using DOS-capable
programs from within Windows with a mouse. Windows provides
it's own mouse driver, but this does not extend to DOS
programs run from within Windows. Therefore, you must load
your DOS-based mouse driver before running Windows.
MOUSE.EXE (or something similar) should appear in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file before WIN, or your mouse driver should be
on a line in your CONFIG.SYS file.
