4. ORACLE DESIGNATES OS/2 WARP AS A PRIMARY PORTING PLATFORM

IBM and Oracle have signed a three year agreement. Oracle will be porting
it's Workgroup/2000 product family to OS/2 Warp. Furthermore, IBM and
Oracle will participate in joint marketing and technical projects.

Both IBM and Oracle executives are excited about the agreement.

"IBM continues to make it easy for customers to find and use the tools
they need to leverage their systems and technology," said John W. Thompson,
general manager, IBM's Marketing and Solution Developer Programs. "Oracle's
investment in OS/2 as a primary porting platform on both the Intel and
PowerPC platforms illustrates the momentum and support IBM is generating
from the leading software developers. OS/2 Warp allows customers to quickly
integrate technologies and applications from a broad range of suppliers."

"OS/2 is a mature, 32-bit operating system that is ideal for client/server
applications," said Marc Benioff, vice president, Oracle's Client/Server
Systems Division.
