The following is a tentative feature listing of Next Epoch matriX User System
version 1.00, also known as Nexus.  Many of these features have been
implemented in the current test versions, and those that have not been will
be included in the final release.  Intuitive Vision Software plans to release
Nexus in the first quarter of 1996.  Any questions, comments, or ideas may be

GENERAL FEATURES

- Four different licensing packages:
        2 nodes + 1 local node
        10 nodes
        250 nodes
        1000 nodes

- 2 nodes + 1 local node evaluation version.

- Full featured external setup program that allows you to edit
        configuration while users are online, allowing the configuration
        of all options in Nexus and ExpressMail(tm) Lite.

- ExpressMail Lite Front-End for use of Nexus without a front end mailer.

- ivOMS(tm) Blue Wave(tm)/QWK door for Blue Wave and QWK compatible offline
        mail.

- Several useful utilities included in package.

- Up to 100 configurable Security Levels.

- Full featured security system, with Access Control Strings, which
        allow you to restrict access to most functions of the BBS based
        on security level, user flags, time left, and more.

- Support for displaying RIP graphics files, ANSI graphic files, and
        text files to the remote user. ANSI and Text files are displayed
        locally.

- Support for swapping to EMS, XMS, and Disk.

- Ability to close each node from accepting New Users.

- Ability to lockout users based on baudrate for specific time periods,
        configurable per day per node.

- Ability to control allowing time periods for downloading,
        configurable per day per node.

- Security Features such as New User Access Key and Sysop Access Key.

- Full Fledged Subscription System.

- Ability to define allowable SysOp page hours, configurable per day per node.

- Ability to download news files.

- Intelligent Digiboard, FOSSIL, and Interrupt driven Communications.

- Full featured Group/Node to Node chat system, with SysOp definable
        ROOMS, and security via Access Control Strings as to who can create
        new ROOMS.  Up to 1000 ROOMS definable.


DOOR/EXTERNAL PROGRAM SUPPORT

- Full setup for Doors, External Editors, and an external Chat program.

- Support for 6 drop file formats:

        CALLINFO.BBS
        CHAIN.TXT
        DOOR.SYS
        DOORFILE.SR
        DORINFOx.DEF
        SFDOORS.DAT

- Configurable maximum time allowed in door.

- Full featured door usage storage, for use by external tracking systems.


FILE SYSTEM

- Over 32,000 File Bases allowed.

- Choice of Upload/Download Ratio, File Point system, or both.

- Full CD-ROM support, including automatic detection of which CD-ROMs are
        online and optional copying of files to hard drive before transfer.

- Sysop definable maximum number of description lines stored in the file
        databases.

- Sysop definable maximum number of description lines displayed in the file
        listings.

- Full support for FILE_ID.DIZ importing.

- External File Base Manager (NxFBMgr) that can be used stand-alone and
        is also integrated into the Setup program to perform File Base
        maintenance, such as editing files, deleting files, moving files,
        adding files, and importing FILE_ID.DIZ descriptions.

- File flagging from the file listing and from a menu command.

- Support for an unlimited number of external protocols.

- Support for requesting offline files.

- Support for an unlimited number of archive formats.

- Internal support for viewing RAR, ZIP, ARJ, ARC, PAK, ZOO, LZH, and ARK
      archive files.


MESSAGE SYSTEM

- Full support of JAM(mbp), Squish, and .MSG message bases, with over
        32000 seperate message bases.  Netmail bases may be of all three
        formats, Local and Echomail may be JAM(mbp) or Squish format.

- Support for 30 AKAs and 20 different Origin Lines.

- Internal Netmail support, with the ability to restrict out of zone
        netmail based on security level, ability to set default and actual
        netmail flags, and ability to file attach.

- Ability to file attach any private type message in Netmail or Local
        Bases.

- Support for message functions such as Copy to another base, Move to a new
        base, Reply to message to another base, and locally Extract message
        to text file or online Download Text File of Message.

- Full support for message quoting including inserting custom headers
        and footers.

- Full Support for taglines in messages internally in Nexus.

- Support for unlimited amount of External Message Editors.

- Ability to upload prepared message.


MULTI-LANGUAGE SUPPORT

- Multiple language support, with option of seperate menus and display
        strings/files for each language.

- Ability to restrict language based on Access Control String.

- Configurable strings for nearly 2000 strings, with the ability to display
        files, run scripts, and run doors from strings, through the use of
        MCI codes.

- Full featured MCI code system with over 100 MCI codes.


MENU SYSTEM

- Flexible menuing system, with the ability to force help levels,
        restrict each command and the menu as a whole based on Access Control
        String.  Ability to display header/footer files.  Ability to use
        display files instead of canned menus.

- Ability to link menu commands to have them run sequentially when a
        specific key is pressed.

- Ability to use QuickKey menu commands, requiring only one key stroke to
        access a menu command, or to use full line input.
