Help on the Speak Out! message editor[fc11]

The message editor allows you to write a message in much the same way
you use a word processor. You simply type your message and the editor will
handle carrage returns, etc for you. To save or edit your message, you
enter one of the editor commands on a blank line (a line that only shows
the line number). By typing /e (plus ENTER) the editor menu will be
printed and place you in "command mode". The different commands available
are:

[fc14]S[fc10] - save this message. The message will be posted to the Speak Out! board
and you will then return to the Main Menu.

[fc14]A[fc10] - abort message. Choose this option if you decide not to post your
message to the board. You message will be deleted and you will return to
the main menu.

[fc14]C[fc10] - continue message. At the command menu, you can continue writing your
message by entering this command. The cursor will be placed at the end of
the last word in the last line that you wrote.

[fc14]L[fc10] - list message. This command allows you to list all the lines that you
have written so far.

[fc14]R[fc10] - replace text. Use this command to replace a word or phrase in one of
your written lines. The editor will prompt you for the line number that
the word is in and then for the word you want to replace. At that prompt
you can also enter /e to edit the line at its end.

[fc14]I[fc10] - insert lines. If you wish to insert additional lines in the middle of
your message, choose this command. The editor will place you in "insert
mode" and prompt you for the line number to insert before. You will
remain in insert mode until you choose the I command again.

[fc14]D[fc10] - delete lines. This command is used to delete lines from your message.
The editor will prompt you for the beginning and ending lines to delete.

[fc14]M[fc10] - list messages. If you want to review the Speak Out! board while you are
writing your message, use this command. You will be prompted for a word to
search for. Either enter the search criteria or hit ENTER to view the entire
board.
