                          ** Shareware Version 2.0 **

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are some major changes in version 2 that you will need to be aware of.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 1) The SYSOP.CFG file is no longer used. It has been replaced by a data file
which is read from faster, and easier to manipulate in order for the door
to work faster. Therefore you MUST run the new GBsetup program after the
    installation.

 2) One line must be added to your current door config file(s). It will
reflect the COM port of the modem that node is on. This is so the door
knows where to send the file when a caller downloads a list. Refer to
    GBLIST.DOC after installation for details.

 3) The GOODBYE.EXE file has been renamed to GBLIST.EXE for clarity. So any
references in your batch files to GOODBYE.EXE must be changed to
    GBLIST.EXE.

 4) Full documentation for the door will be installed during the
installation. If the INSTALL.BAT file does not work for you, then read
the bottom section, "Manual Installation Instructions" for instructions
on how to install the door manually.

----------------------[MANUAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS]----------------------

  New Install

 1) Create a directory to hold the GoodBye List Door program.
    C:\DOWNLOAD>mkdir c:\doors\gblist ENTER

 2) Move (or copy) the GBLIST.WET file to this new directory.
    C:\DOWNLOAD>move gblist.wet c:\doors\gblist ENTER

 3) Change to the new GoodBye List Door directory, and create two
sub-directories. One called SCREENS, and one called DATA.
    C:\DOWNLOAD>cd\doors\gblist ENTER
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>mkdir screens ENTER
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>mkdir data ENTER

 4) Rename the GBLIST.WET file to !GBLIST.EXE or whatever .EXE. The
GBLIST.WET file is just a ZIP archive converted to .EXE format, and
renamed to GBLIST.WET. Do NOT rename this file to GBLIST.EXE, as there
is a GBLIST.EXE file archived in the GBLIST.WET file, and this would
    cause problems!
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>rename gblist.wet !gblist.exe ENTER

 5) Execute the !GBLIST.EXE file to unpack all the program files.
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>!gblist ENTER

 6) You can delete the !GBLIST.EXE archive if you wish, you will not need it
    anymore.
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>del !gblist.exe

 7) Move all of the files with the .ANS & .ASC extensions to the SCREENS
subdirectory (if your version of DOS does not contain the MOVE command,
then you will have to copy all of these files to the SCREENS
sub-directory, then delete the ones you copied from). Be sure to allow
DOS to overwrite the old files, as the new ones are different from the
    old ones.
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>move *.ans screens ENTER
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>move *.asc screens ENTER

 8) Move all of the files with the .DAT extensions to the DATA subdirectory.
Again, if your DOS does not support the MOVE command, then you must copy
    and delete.
    C:\DOORS\GBLIST>move *.dat data ENTER

 9) Move all documentation to your GBlist Door directory.

10) Run the GBsetup program to setup the door.

  Upgrading

 1) Rename the GBLIST.WET file to !GBLIST.EXE or something with an .EXE
extension. Do NOT name this file GBLIST.EXE, as there is a GBLIST.EXE
file archived in the GBLIST.WET file, and this would cause problems!
    C:\DOWNLOAD>rename gblist.wet !gblist.exe ENTER

 2) Move the !GBLIST.EXE file to an empty TEMPORARY directory, and execute it
to unpack all of the program files.
    C:\DOWNLOAD>move !gblist.exe c:\temp ENTER
    C:\DOWNLAOD>cd\temp ENTER
    C:\TEMP>!gblist ENTER

 3) Move all of the .EXE files to your current GoodBye List Door directory,
OVERWRITING all of your current .EXE program files!
C:\TEMP>move *.exe c:\doors\gblist ENTER (or whatever your directory is)

 4) Move all of the .ANS & .ASC files to your current GoodBye List Doors
SCREENS sub-directory, OVERWRITING all current display files!
    C:\TEMP>move *.ans c:\doors\gblist\screens ENTER
    C:\TEMP>move *.asc c:\doors\gblist\screens ENTER

 5) Create a sub-directory in your current GBlist directory named DATA.
    C:\TEMP>mkdir c:\doors\gblist\data ENTER

 6) Move all .DAT files to the new DATA sub-directory.
    C:\TEMP>move *.dat c:\doors\gblist\data ENTER

 7) If you are upgrading from v1.0, then you WILL NEED to run the included
UPGRADE.EXE program, to convert your BBS.DAT file to the new format.

 8) Move all documentation to your GBlist Door directory.

 9) Run the GBsetup program to setup the door.
