CENTRAL POINT ANTI-VIRUS FOR DOS VERSION 2.X SIGNATURE UPDATE

The self-extracting archive file named V2SIG.EXE is for users of Central
Point Anti-Virus Version 2.0 and later. It contains updated files that
include the latest virus signatures available.

Due to an increase in polymorphic viruses, this signature update includes
both an updated signature file SMARTSIG.CPS, and an updated executable file
CPAV.EXE. The executable file has been updated for detection and removal
of the new polymorphic viruses. No new features have been added.

To update your files, you must have CPAV Version 2.0 or later on your
hard drive.

1. Download the self-extracting archive file as V2SIG.EXE to a temporary
   directory on your hard drive.

2. Run V2SIG.EXE to extract the update files, UPDATE.EXE, CPAV.UDT,
   SMARTSIG.CPS, VIRULIST.CPS, and the README.TXT file.

3. From the temporary directory run UPDATE. Update asks where your
current version of CPAV exists. Type the path name. The files
in the current working CPAV directory will be updated automatically.

In the process of updating your current copy of CPAV, the old CPAV.EXE
is renamed to the filename CPAV.OLD.

4. Run the Central Point Anti-Virus program.

5. Delete the update files from the temporary directory.
