                          Quick-Start Tips

1. To begin using the program, select the icon labeled "Site Blaster"
or run the executable file "start.exe" in the program directory.

2. When you begin the program, you need to create indexes for the
Description field and the Address field at a minimum. The importance
of this is that the "Find First" function [the `?' icon at the bottom]
requires searching on an indexed field. The field that is to be
searched on must be the same field that is the current index field
for this function to operate successfully.

Setup the indexes by choosing "Indexes" under the File menu heading.
Highlight a field in the "Index Definition" dialog box then choose "Add"
to indicate that you want to index that field. Do this for as many
fields as you desire. The more indexes, the better. When you leave the
dialog box, the indexes will be created for you. This will take from
1-3 minutes.

The "Find First" icon will remain dimmed until the indexes are created.

3. When you use the "Group Find" function [the `=' icon at the bottom],
you need to specify search criteria by selecting a field, then selecting
"LIKE" (not the equal sign), then typing in a word or phrase in the
"Value" box, and selecting the "Value" button, and finally clicking on
the "Ok" button. This sounds complicated, but visually it is very quick
when you use the mouse to make selections.

IMPORTANT: When you specify a word or phrase to search for, place an
asterisk (*) before and after the phrase. If you search for "Doctor",
without using an asterisk, you will be shown a blank screen as nothing
was found exactly matching that word. If you search for "*Doctor*"
instead, you will be shown the page "Doctor Fun" first. The asterisks
act like wildcards that will find the search term anywhere in the
Description field. This asterisk wildcard symbols are not to be used
with the "Find First" function, only with "Group Find".

To recap, in order to search for a word or phrase, click on the field
(like Description), click on "LIKE", enter a value, and click the "Value"
button at the bottom, then click on "Ok". Please see the Help file
"sbhelp.hlp" for more details.

4. Peruse the Help file "sbhelp.hlp" at your convenience. You can select
the Help Icon [the `?' at the top right], or press F1, or use the Help
Menu to reach Help from within the program.

Enjoy!
