                      INTERBBS NETMAIL CONFIGURATION

  REQUIREMENTS

  InterBBS v1.2 supports an internal netmail function that allows the
  sending and receiving of netmail between FTS compatible systems. You must
  have an FTS compatible mailer and a mail tosser that is compatible with
  InterBBS's PCB style message bases. Additionally you will need a Fidonet
  nodelist or a compatible nodelist for the net you are in. Also you will
  need to create a file called FDNODE.CTL. If you are using InterMail or
  Front Door you will be familiar with this file.

  SETTING UP NETMAIL IN INTERBBS

  Load the InterBBS configuration program (IBBSCFG). Go to option
  "N Netmail configuration (General)" Fill in each field with the
  appropriate information. Each field is explained in detail below.

   * "Location/Name of IBNODE.CTL File"

   The nodelist compiler creates this file when compiling the nodelist.
   Enter the path and filename to this file. If you are not sure where the
   file should go use the \IBSYS directory.

   EXAMPLE: C:\IBBS\IBSYS\IBNODE.CTL

   * "Your Network Address"

   Enter the primary network address of your BBS.

   EXAMPLE: 1:3603/520

   * "Your Network Point # (If any)"

   This field is only used if you are operating as a point off someone
   else's system (Using their address).

   * "Location of outgoing .MSG files"

   This is the directory your mailer looks for outgoing netmail in. The
   netmail messages are created in *.MSG format.

   EXAMPLE: C:\IM\NETMAIL\

  CONFIGURING A NETMAIL CONFERENCE

  Go to option "A" (SIG & Conference configuration) From the IBBSCFG main
  menu. Go to the SIG and then the conference to set up as a Netmail
  Conference. Configure the conference as you normally would. Then hit PGDN
  and answer yes to "Allow sending of netmail from this conference".
  The BBS is now configured to send Netmail messages.

  BEFORE COMPILING THE NODELIST

  FDNODE.CTL (Nodelist control file)

  InterBBS's nodelist compiler uses this file when compiling the nodelist.
  The file should be located in the directory the nodelists reside in. If
  you are not using InterMail or Front Door you will need to create this
  file in the appropriate directory. The file is a list of all your private
  nodelists for each network you are a member of aside from Fidonet. The
  Fidonet nodelist does not need to be included in this file, but must
  reside in the same directory. This file can be created with any text
  editor. The format is as follows:

  PVTLIST C:\IM\NODELIST\IBBSLIST.*

                   The flag IBNLC uses to denote a
                                       private nodelist. This flag must
                                       precede each listing.

      The path and filename of the
                                        private nodelist files.

  List each of you private nodelists, each on a separate line in this
  format.

  COMPILING THE NODELIST

  Change to the directory where the primary FidoNet nodelist and the
  FDNODE.CTL files reside. At the command prompt type IBNLC and the path to
  the IBNODE.CTL file. (The same path configured in IBBSCFG)

  EXAMPLE: IBNLC C:\IBBS\IBSYS\IBNODE.CTL

  Note: The IBNODE.CTL file will be created by the nodelist compiler. Not
        to be confused with FDNODE.CTL
