Thanks for ordering Visual File Manager (VFM). This file explains how
to install and run this product.
------------------------------
                          Installation.
Copy the files VISUFILE.EXE and VISUFILE.HLP on to your hard disk
and start up the program. Copying the files from a DOS Prompt this
involves the following commands (assuming you wish to install on drive C:):

md C:\VISUFILE
copy A:\VISUFILE.* C:\VISUFILE

The file "FILE_ID.DIZ" is a bulletin board related file that you do not
have to copy to your hard disk.

You may create a new program item in Windows' Program Manager by selecting
a group window (such as "Main"), choosing "New" from the "File" menu and
browsing for the program name. Placing the icon in the "Startup" group will
cause Windows to start it up when Windows starts up (like the "Clock"
program).

Finally, you may want to have VFM replace the program manager as the shell,
and only start up the program Manager for those few programs that don't
work with VFM. Making VFM your start-up shell involves replacing the
following line in the file "SYSTEM.INI" under the [boot] heading while
Windows is not running:

shell=progman.exe

with

; keep the original line commented out (using ";") in case you decide
; to go back
; shell=progman.exe
shell=c:\visufile\visufile.exe

------------------------------
                         Running the program
You may run the program under Windows Program Manager using one of the
following methods:

- you may choose "Run" from the "File" Menu and enter
"C:\VISUFILE\VISUFILE.EXE"

- you may double-click on the program icon after its been installed in
one of the group windows

- it will run automatically if it has been set up in the startup group
or as the shell (see installation)

We hope you find VFM useful. Again, thanks for your order
