This document contains release notes for Turbo Tourney version 2.0.  
Information in this document is more current than that in the online
Help.

How to Use This Document
------------------------
To view README.TXT on screen in Windows Notepad, maximize the Notepad
window.


To print README.TXT, open it in Windows Write, Microsoft Word, or another 
word processor.  Then select the entire document and format the text in 
10-point Courier before printing.

Part 1: Evaluation Version Distribution
=========================================
You are free to distribute the Evaluation Version of Turbo Tourney
to anyone you think might be interested in trying it before
buying.

The Evaluation Version is exactly the same as the full version except
you can only have 3 players in any one pool. (The full version
allows for up to 250 players!)

See the initial registration screen for information on how
to order the full version of Turbo Tourney.

Part 2: Software Installation Information
=========================================
To install Turbo Tourney, use the Program Manager or File Manager
to start SETUP.EXE as you would any other Windows-based application.
For example, if you are installing from drive A:

- From the Program Manager File menu, choose Run.
- In the Run dialog box, type A:SETUP and choose OK.

  Or

- From the File Manager, double-click the SETUP.EXE file icon 
  on drive A.

Cannot find VBRUN300.DLL file
------------------------------------
If you obtained Turbo Tourney from an online service such as
Compuserve or America Online you may find that you also need
the VBRUN300.DLL file to run Turbo Tourney.

If you don't have this file ask the SYSOP how to obtain it and
copy it to your /WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory.

Changes to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file
------------------------------------
If you are running Microsoft Windows 3.0 or Windows 3.1 (i.e. not
Windows for Workgroups), you will need to change your AUTOEXEC.BAT
as follows:

     SHARE /L:500 /F:5100

If the /L or the /F setting to SHARE has a larger value than listed here, 
leave the setting as it is rather than reducing it.

**  Please make this change before trying to run Turbo Tourney.  **

Part 3: Notes & Tips

Printer Error - 20534 (Error detected in database DLL)
------------------------------------------------------
Because Turbo Tourney 2.0 utilizes Access 1.1 databases you may
receive this error if you have Access 2.0 along with the Microsoft
Jet Engine Compatibility Layer.  This is because it causes Turbo
Tourney to create Access 2.0 databases and the report writer
cannot read these files.  We can supply printer drivers that you
can use to update the report writer and allow it to read Access 2.0
databases.  Simply contact Sideline Software to receive these drivers.

Running Turbo Tourney under OS/2
-----------------------------------------
Turbo Tourney 2.0 can been successfully run under the WIN-OS/2 operating
system.  The only reported problem has been with the Printer Setup dialog
causing the default printer to be removed.  This will cause unexpected
results while printing.  The following steps should be followed:

- do not use the Printer Setup from within Turbo Tourney to change printers
- use Control Panel to change/set your default printer
