Organizer 2.0 FAQ (12/14/94)



This FAQ (frequently asked question) covers issues regarding
Organizer 2.0. This document is an unofficial listing of what seems to
be the hot issues reported by Organizer 2.0 customers so far.

This FAQ is a draft work in progress and will be updated as more info becomes
available.

Its intent is to keep our customers as informed as possible to questions
regarding Organizer 2.0


1. Organizer 2.0 seems to have trouble with some SVGA and XGA
drivers. 



This was the case for any customer who received the product by
downloading it via Ziffnet, and a limited amount of customers
who purchased the full product at a retail store.

Lotus has updated the Ziffnet download to correct this issue for
future downloads and also will be posting an update that Ziffnet
customers can download and apply to their already existing
version.


For customers who have purchased the product at a retail store
and are experiencing these problems,customers should obtain the Organizer
2.0 update. This update will be available on CompuServe as well
as the Lotus BBS. 

TO OBTAIN THE UPDATE FROM COMPUSERVE:

For users who are not going to be using Lotus Organizer 2.0 in conjunction with
Lotus Notes or cc:Mail for Group Calendaring and Scheduling (PIM ONLY users)

	-Download file OR2UPD.ZIP from the ORGANIZER GENERAL LIBRARY in LOTUSB
	(GO LOTUSB)
	- Unzip this file using PKUNZIP (2.04g was used to zip this file)
	- Follow the directions in the file UPDATE.WRI that gets unzipped in
	order to update Organanzier to version 2.0a

For users who will be using the Group Calendaring and scheduling feature:

	-Download file OR2UPD.ZIP and ORGADM.ZIP from the ORGANIZER GENERAL
	 LIBRARY in LOTUSB (GO LOTUSB)
	- Unzip both files using PKUNZIP (2.04g was used to zip this file)
	- Follow the directions in the file UPDATE.WRI that gets unzipped in
	order to update Organanzier to version 2.0a
	

TO OBTAIN THE UPDATES VIA THE LOTUS BBS (617-693-7000)

	- The files can be located in the Organizer file area.

	Once you reach the main menu:
		Choose P for product area
		Choose L for list
		Choose number 5 (for Organizer)
		Choose 4 for file libraries
		Choose D for download
		Type the file name ORG2UPD.ZIP
		


2. File Archive does not work in the original Ziffnet download
and for some of the first packages sold in retail. Please see
Number 1 for details on how this is being solved.



3. Monthly calendar does not Print "shown through" items. This
has been reported.



4. File Export to DBF exports everything as MEMO FIELDS. This
has been reported.



5. Alarm dialog box does not allow for manual input

	The alarm dialog box does not save any manually inputted dates.
The date needs to be chosen from the drop down.



6. When converting 1.x files to 2.0 the following data is not
converted: (from page 1-11 of the Exploring Organizer guide)



- Information stored in Organizer Preference menus

- Repeating appts are now single rather than repeating entries

- Anniversary entries are set to repeat annually on the same date

- Included sections are not converted

- All addresses are converted to the business tab of the new
address book



7. How do I print a weekly view like 1x had?



The layout that gives weekly prints is the WEEKLY TIMELINE. This
gives a visual of what time is booked vs. available for the week.
