Stress - The Single Greatest Contributor to Illness!

The presence of stress in our everyday lives has grown to  monumental
proportions.  This "agitation" that we all share to  some degree  can
be measured in other ways.

 Painkillers  are the leading,  over-the-counter drug  in the United
  States.  Valium, a calmative, is the  most commonly prescribed drug
  in the world!

 The popularity of cocaine, in the opinion of many health officials,
  is due to its use as a stress reducer.  It often provides a feeling
  of accomplishment that is lacking in real life.

 Rampant alcoholism is linked to stress.  There are 13 million alco-
  holics  ( data is several years old, so it's probably more now ) in
  the United States, amny of them children.

 Teenage suicide is on the upswing.

 Over 25% of adult Americans have high blood pressure.

 Heart attack,  the nations #1  killer is  caused or  aggravated  by 
  stress.
