      Title: PEACH BREAD
 Categories: Breads, Fruits
      Yield: 12 servings

      2 c All purpose flour
    1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/8 ts Salt
      1 ts Baking soda
2 c Very ripe mashed peaches
      1 lg Egg, slightly beaten
      2 tb Butter, melted
    1/2 c Raisins or nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a bowl, mix together flour, sugars, salt and baking soda. Drain
mashed peaches and put in large bowl. Add beaten egg, and melted
butter. Stir in raisins or nuts. Stir in flour mixture. Pour into
9x5-inch greased and floured loaf pan. Let stand 20 minutes. Bake at
350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Cool bread in pan 15 minutes; remove
from pan and finish cooling on wire rack. (Peach Bread freezes
  beautifully for later use.)

NOTE: This is a moist, tender bread. It will cure more evenly and
neatly, therefor, if made the day before serving.
