      Title: Paprika Chicken Halves

   Servings:  4

      1    Frying chicken, 3 1/2 lbs           2    Red bell peppers
      2 tb Melted butter or margarine          3    Green bell peppers
    1/2 ts Salt                                1 tb Oil
      1 ts Paprika                             3 tb Chopped parsley
      1    Clove garlic, minced                     Barbecue sauce

  Wash and dry chicken halves.

  Mix butter with salt, paprika, and garlic.  Brush chicken halves with this
  mixture, using about half of it.

  Wash peppers, cut in halves, remove seeds.  Slice thinly.

  Saute peppers in oil for a few minutes.  Arrange in baking dish.

  Arrange chicken halves on top.  Broil 5-6 inches from source of heat for
  20 minutes, brushing with remaining butter mixture and barbecue sauce.

  Turn and broil for another 10-15 minutes, brushing frequently, until
  chicken is tender and juices run clear when pierced with a fork.  Sprinkle
  with parsley.

  Good served with: White or wild rice, pasta or baked potatoes, broccoli,
  or cauliflower.

  Tips:  Chicken may be prepared for broiling ahead of time.  Keep
  refrigerated until ready to broil.
