I can vouch for the quality of the flavor in this recipie, however I cook
the chicken in the oven.  Here's my version:

Cut up one fryer chicken and place in a baking dish with 2" high sides.
Pour 1 bottle of your favorite italian salad dressing over thde chicken.
(I have never tried this with fat-free dressing but the regualr dressings
work great)
Additional salt & pepper are not necessary.  Waiting for the chicken to
marinate is not necessary.
Simply place the baking dish uncovered in the oven at 350 degrees until
chicken is tender.
The residual chicken broth mixed with the salad dressing makes a pretty good
gravy for mashed potatoes as is.

This is a very simple dish to prepare, and with the exception of the
cooking time is very quick and easy.
