> Subj : PRESS RE-RELEASE: TELEGARD 3.0 DEVELOPMENT KIT

The following text is a re-release of our development kit announcement
which was originally made July 3rd, 1995.

It is being re-released for two reasons -- (1) an updated beta listing has
been included, and (2) for those of you who missed it the first time
around . . . :)

TELEGARD 3.0 DEVELOPMENT KIT RELEASE

KINGSTON, ONTARIO - July 3rd, 1995 - The final Telegard 3.0 development
package has been released. This development package is a complete tool for
all third party utility developers, and is a complete must if you wish to
do any development for Telegard 3.0.

The package contains both C and Turbo Pascal header files which outline the
internal and some external data structures, as well as a comprehensive
development document. The structures are laid out and completely commented
so that quick reference to just the structure file should be sufficient for
advanced programmers.

The development documentation contains a complete listing of all the data
files and structures, with helpful access information and other specific
areas of note or caution. Also outlined are several other general
programming concepts, including methods of handling indexing, multinode and
multilingual support. The development documentation also contains a guide
to third part utility development covering aspects of product release
packages, methods of distribution and probable markets.

The development package has been released into the TELEGARD software
distribution network (carried by Fidonet as SDN area TG_SUP). The file is
also available at any of our distribution sites (listed below) as:

                  TGDEV300.ZIP ~60k 07-03-95 03:00a

The file will not be available immediately at all sites - please try back
if the file is not available on your first attempt (we apologize for the
inconvenience this may cause, but not all sites are readily available).

Thanks for your interest in Telegard 3.0,
Telegard Development Team

(the next two documents are README.TG and the TGSITES.TXT listings)

                                                            July 3rd, 1995

At long last, the development package for Telegard 3.0 is available --
the package you are reading now contains all the information which is
related to Telegard 3.0 utility development, as well as some other
information which is useful to third parties.

Please carefully read the document DEVEL300.DOC for any further
   information you may require.

   Thanks,
   Telegard Development Team

*** Header from structure files ***

Note to all Telegard 3.0 developers:

These structures are the final release structures for Telegard 3.0.

These structures may be used to modify and create new programs which
will be compatible with Telegard 3.0. Enclosed with this structure kit
are several documents which outline the various data file formats that
Telegard 3.0 uses. The development documentation, DEVEL300.DOC, has
many helpful hints and information regarding most of the data file which
Telegard uses -- please read it before attempting to use the data
   structures.

The structures have been commented as best as possible. If you need
more information on how to use/access data within these structures,
please see the accompanying documentation for contact methods.

Several portions of these structures outline multinode capabilities. As
of Telegard 3.0, the BBS is not fully multinode compatible. A release
will be made as soon as possible which will accommodate full multinode
features. Until then, presume that the features that have been outlined
in this document are up-to-date and working in Telegard 3.0.

Thanks for your interest in Telegard 3.0. Utility developers who wish
more information regarding distribution should look at the accompanying
documentation -- there are several helpful areas which should be read.

We can use all the questions, comments and ideas that you can think of.

   Thanks,
   Telegard 3.0 Development Team
