This file contains notes regarding your current version and the major changes
that have taken place from the previous release of DiskScan. Aside from these
comments it contains no installation instructions. Please refer to DS.DOC for
installation helps.

Version 3.2 of DiskScan was created in late October 1992 after a problem was
found in the "File Manager" utility on the Main Menu. One of the functions
available in earlier versions was that of PRINTing a file to your printer.
Following the print an error would arise that would cause DiskScan to exit
to the DOS prompt. The problem was traced to the compilor itself and no
current fix is available. Thus in v3.2 of DiskScan, the PRINT and OPEN functions
have been removed {OPEN was un-necessary}.

Version 3.4 was created January '94 when an error was discovered during the
read of a floppy that had subdirectories that were created solely to act as
a protection scheme (Lemmings). DiskScan was modified to skip over any files
whose filesize bit exceeded 8 numeric digits.

Also modified in v3.4 was the ability to scan a hard-disk. This capability
was removed to eliminate a source of errors. DiskScan was originally intended
on being used with floppy disks.

Version 3.5 appeared in April '94. The MAIN MENU was modified to accomodate
changing the drive that you want to load from. This ability is also available
in the Utility Menu, but its access from the Main Menu is easier to use.
