                               What is QBBSnet?
                             ͼ

QBBSnet is a exclusively for registered users of QuickBBS versions
2.66 and above. It is not affiliated with Pegasus Software or
QuickBBS except by virtue of the fact that it exists to support
QuickBBS. Pegasus Software is in no way responsible for or in control
of any portion of the network, except that Pegasus Software author Steve
Gabrilowitz and other Pegasus representatives are welcome participants
in the network, and the network welcomes their participation.

What is the Purpose of QBBSnet?
                     ͼ

Our goal is to provide an electronic meeting place for novice and
experienced QuickBBS sysops. Through our affiliate, the QuickBBS File
Network, we also provide a timely method for sysops to obtain QuickBBS
compatible utilities and doors, as well as publicly released versions of
QuickBBS and its accompanying utilities. QBBSNet is the official file
distribution method for QuickBBS public releases.

What Kind of Support Can You Expect?
                   ͼ

QBBSNet provides a user-to-user support format, along with participation
by QuickBBS author Steve Gabrilowitz and other Pegasus Software
representatives. User-to-user support is the most valuable kind, since
another user is most likely to have encountered and overcome the same
problems you face.

Locate your Region Coordinator according to your geographical location.
If you know the Net Coordinator for your area, your application should
be sent there instead. Please note that Fidonet authorities frown on
routed netmail for other networks that is routed through the Fidonet
system, so all netmail messages using Fidonet addresses should be sent
direct. If you wish, you may also compile the QBBSNet nodelist
(QBSNODES.###) and send the message to the address indicated in the
nodelist. If you choose to follow this method, use the temporary
address 150:rrr/999, where rrr represents the region number in which you
are geographically located.

                             How to Join the Net
                           ͼ

If you are a REGISTERED user of QuickBBS 2.66 or above, you are eligible
to join QBBSnet. Fill out the application included in this package
(QBBSNET.APP) and send it to the appropriate coordinator either as a
netmail message, or as a file attached to a netmail message. Please do
not upload your application to your coordinator's BBS, since it is
necessary that you demonstrate netmail capability in order to become a
member of the net. If you decide to send it as an attached file, please
name it "QBBSNET.xxx", where xxx represents your initials. QBBSNet
coordinators are busy people and might not notice your file right away,
so be sure to accompany it with a message.

                           ͼ

If you have problems meeting any of the requirements listed above,
contact your QBBSNet coordinator and ask for help. It's OK to log onto
his or her BBS to ask for assistance!
