      Title: Christmas Stollen
 Categories: Breads
   Servings:  1

    3/4 c  Raisins                             2    Eggs, lightly beaten
    1/2 c  Chopped mixed candied fruit         2 ts Vanilla
    1/4 c  Orange juice                        2 ts Lemon flavoring
  5 1/2 ts Dry yeast                           2 ts Salt
    1/4 c  Warm water                      5 1/2 c  All-purpose flour
    3/4 c  Warm milk                         1/2 c  Chopped almonds
    1/2 c  Butter, melted                           Confectioners' sugar
    1/2 c  Sugar

  Soak raisins and fruit in orange juice; set aside.  In a large mixing
  bowl,dissolve yeast in water.  Add milk, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and
  lemon flavoring, salt and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth.  Add raisin
  mixture and almonds.  Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  Turn onto a floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8
  minutes.  Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.  Cover and
  let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1-1/2 hours.  Punch dough
  down; let rest 10 minutes.  Divide in half; roll each half into a 10-in x
  7-in oval.  Fold one of the long sides over to within 1 in. of the
  opposite side; press edges lightly to seal.  Place on greased baking
  sheets.  Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about 1 hour.  Bake at
  375 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.  Cool on a wire rack.
  Just before serving, dust with confectioners' sugar.

  Yield:  2 loaves

      Title: Bourbon Balls
 Categories: Cookies, Desserts
   Servings:  1

      9 oz Vanilla wafer cookies             1/3 c  Corn syrup
      3 c  Powdered sugar                    1/3 c  Unsweetened cocoa powder
    2/3 c  Bourbon                           1/2 lb Shelled pecans (about 2 cup

  In food processor, combine cookies, 2 cups powdered sugar, bourbon, syrup
  and cocoa; process until mixture is evenly blended.  Add pecans and
  process, pulsing, until nuts are finely chopped.  Turn out into a bowl.

  Form into 1-inch balls, rolling between your palms until smooth.  Dredge
  in remaining powdered sugar to coat.  Store in an airtight container.

  Makes 5 dozen cookies.
