                             Chocolate Pie
2 squares baking chocolate 2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup corn starch and flour mixed Pinch of salt
3 eggs 2 Tablespoons confectioners
                                                         sugar
Use half the recipe for Rich Pastry. Line pie shell and bake 350
degrees until lightly brown. Melt chocolate, mix with sifted sugar,
cornstarch and flour. Beat egg yolks and add with milk. Place mixture
in top of double boiler over boiling water, cook until smooth and
thick. Cool add vanilla. Fill baked shell with custard. Beat egg
whites stiffly with salt. Add confectioners sugar. Spread lightly
over pie and bake 300 degrees until meringue is lightly browned.
   Makes 1 9" pie.

I would assume the 1/4 cup flour and cornstarch would mean 1/8 cup
each? What do you think? I haven't tried the recipes yet. I can't
imagine a 1/2 cup of thickening!
