Congratulations to THE BLUE KNIGHTS BBS. It has become the 100th BBS
that is listed in our offical list of boards that have CTM. It has
taken us 10 months to surpass this milestone. Over the last months
we have steadily picked up boards each month.

As you can see, we have surpassed 100 BBSs that carry CTM. In less
than a year's time, this is a good feeling.

In the interest of bringing you more reviews each month, we have
made some changes. First, we have been combining things: Opening
Format and Disclaimer; System and Magazine Information. We also are
starting a new review section called: ShareWare Spotlight. Here,
every month, we will have several shareware programs that we have
    looked at.

Many people have jumped on the MS-DOS 6.0 bandwagon. Is it for you?
Check out the review in this issue. Scanning is an easy way to get a
printed page into your computer. We look at the UMAX scanner line in
    this issue.

We also look at FileMaker Pro, WinFax 3.0 and DOSFax 2.0, Qmodem
Pro, WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows, Ventura Publisher, PC Tools 8.0
for Windows, Lotus Organizer for Windows, Harvard Graphics for
    Windows and MicroLeague Football2.

As you may notice in System Information, we have upgraded to a
486-33 system. This was an experience. I had previously installed
DOS 6 on my system. Swapping motherboards, I started having problems
with lock-ups. I tried everything humanly possible. I even returned
the 486 MB to the dealer for a new MB and CPU. This did not help. I
left the system there for two days for a technician to work on. This
also did no good. Finally, in exasperation, and as a last resort, I
decided to put DOS 5.0 back on, and erased my hard drives, and
reformatted them. Since that point I have not had any problems with
lock-ups. While, I cannot attribute it directly to DOS 6, it does
seem odd that removing it solved the problems.

Anyway, I will step aside now, and let you get on with reading the
reviews. Until next month may you have a safe format!
