A picture is worth a thousand words. In, Picture Wizard - Arts &
Letters for Kids of All Ages, there are 1,000 pictures.

Picture Wizard is a full graphics program. It is for kids, as well
for newcomers to computer graphics. The easy-to-use drawing tools,
and other features make it a snap to use. I think it is the only
complete graphics package that I have seen, that comes with a very
slim manual. The reason? It is that simple to use. After a few basic
points, you can do everything on your own.

Picture Wizard requires MS Windows 3.x, 2MB RAM, 10MB hard disk
space for a full installation, and a mouse. It contains 1,000
clip-art images and 15 typefaces. You can place as many words and
pictures as you want on a page, and change their sizes, positions,
and colors. There are 126 colors to choose from, and 222 fill
    patterns.

There are graphic tools for line and curve drawing, charts, sizing,
rotate, flip and more. The selections are endless. Beginners will
like its ease-of-use. With on-line help, there is not a lot to
remember. Just pop up help, and you can get information on anything.
Forgot what one of the icons in the toolbar does? No problem. Just
click on Help Menu, select Help on Items, then click on the icon for
    extensive help.

Anatomical drawings are a part of Picture Wizard. Along with
drawings of the brain, eye and other parts, there is a "How Does
That Work" feature in the Activity Manager. Selecting it, and one of
its components, will show you how that thing works. Selecting brain,
for example, will show you the brain, and explain how speech is
derived and so on. I found this very informative.

Activity Manager contains a vast amount of options. There are games
and other fun programs here for kids. Puzzles, connect-the-dots,
cut-out masks, pinwheels, airplanes, create a cut-out doll with
interchangeable clothes. Other features include Projects, Banners,
Calendar, Greeting Cards, Coloring Pages. You can also purchase
additional Fun Paks, which include more clip-art, more typefaces,
new activities and a surprise packet for youngsters.

You can apply special effects to your words. Just load the effect
you want, click on the word tool, type in your new text, and select
replace. Quickly your text replaces the other, in the format you
selected. You can also change text size, font and color. Picture
Wizard will allow you to import a scanned image and supports: TIF,
WMF, PIC, and text only imports.

The package is very appealing for the younger set. However, those
who are timid with graphics, or have never gotten into them, will
    find this program very unintimidating.
