Format First <2> DO NOT Format First2.4A FORMAT FIRST: This routine is anything but standard and will in effect, make a copy of any disk as long as the track and sectors are numbered sequentially from 0 on up. Most protected disks may be "BACKED UP" by use of this program and you may determine if a disk is numbered sequentially by use of the ZAP or EXAMINE DISK MARKS programs that are included in QUICK FIX. Use of this utility requires you to input the source and destination drives. ONE DRIVE SYSTEM: If the source and destination drives are the same, you are prompted when to make the necessary disk SWAPS to complete the disk copy. NOTE: The entire unused memory is used as a buffer during this routine and therefore, machines with 48K will require fewer disk swaps than machines with 32K. TWO DRIVE SYSTEM: When source and desination drives are different, simply place a blank disk in the destination drive and the disk to be copied in the source drive. Press <ENTER> and the copy will be automatically completed. NOTE: This routine does a one track at a time transfer from source to destination disks. Prior to any copying, the destination disk is formatted with the number of tracks specified.2.4B DO NOT FORMAT FIRST: This utility operates identically as the FORMAT FIRST but it requires that the destination disk be FORMATTED prior to being inserted into the destination drive.
