                   Ymodem/Ymodem Batch Protocol SOURCE File
                   Written entirely in ZBASIC(tm) Software.
Ymodem/Ymodem Batch Model 4 adaptations by Mike Bailey.
                         Programmed in December, 1988

YMODEM and YMODEM batch protocol /BAZ files presented here are the product of
many hard hours at work. The model shown here is identical to that which is
available in PC Plus communications software.

The /BAZ source file is hopefully somewhat readable in and of itself. If you
have difficulty following the code, then take a look at ZXMDMCRC/BAZ, as it's
code is very similar except where YMODEM adaptations have been made. There is
an excellent YMODEM protocol technical tutorial available called YMODEM/DOC,
which describes the protocol completely. This TEXT file does not attempt to
explain the technical approach to YMODEM/YMODEM Batch.

If you have any technical questions, suggestions, comments, or would like any
help implementing the routines presented here into your own software then do
drop me a line. I will be happy to lend a voice. I admit that when I first
began programming YMODEM (and YAK4) for the Model 4, I was unable to obtain
_any_ assistance from anyone on the project, including YMODEM's author. So,
if I can be of any help just drop me a line via BBS and I'll help in any way
that I can.

While the protocol, YMODEM and YMODEM Batch, are in the public domain, I have
spent immeasurable hours researching and experimenting with the software on a
trial and error basis. I do not want to call ZYMDMCRC/BAZ shareware because
first of all, it's not my protocol, and secondly, I want to see it flourish
in as many areas as possible. But if you intend to use this program in a non
commercial or public enviornment, then consider contributing $10.00 for all
of the hard work and sleepless nights that went into making YMODEM batch real
on the Model 4. I would certainly appreciate it.
