               >>>>> PRO-WAM Documentation Update <<<<<
========================================================================
This is Release 2 of PRO-WAM. The reference manual has been extensively
revised. If you have a question concerning the operation of PRO-WAM, its
supplied utilities, or any of the application modules provided with the
package, please first check the reference manual. The table of contents
has been expanded, and there is a large index which should point you in
the right direction. Make sure you read the manual section on
"converting from release 1", if this pertains to you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
03/08/89 - Replaced TERM/APP in WAM1/APL to the revised version discussed
in The MISOSYS Quarterly, Volume III, Issue ii.
07/25/88 - Applied WAM23/FIX - revises activation from 40CPL mode
03/15/88 - Applied WAM21/FIX - operation under JCL
         - Applied WAM22/FIX - activation from 40 cpl mode
         - Applied BRINGUP2/FIX - inhibit updating on read-only access
12/30/87 - Applied PRUN2/FIX - Inhibits JCL abort
11/05/87 - Applied TODO2/FIX - Permits TODO/DAT on any drive
11/04/87 - Applied HELPP1/FIX - Corrects HELPP(EXPORT) screen
09/28/87 - Applied PRUN1/FIX to permit access of TED/APP via PRUN
09/14/87 - Applied CAL2/FIX - Corrects stars in leap year & 31st
09/01/87 - Applied CAL1/FIX - Corrects "today's date" when shifting
years with an active BRINGUP file
09/01/87 - Applied BRINGUP1/FIX - Corrects abort via <BREAK> from ADD text
08/25/87 - Applied TODO1/FIX - fixes certain ADDs
08/24/87 - Applied PSORT22A/FIX - fixes default extension on file prompt
-----
08/17/87 - PRO-WAM has to inhibit you from invoking an application while
you are in the midst of marking a block for export or import. Neither
PRO-NTO 1.0 or PRO-WAM 2.00b did this. Version 2.01a now does this. We
also relocated the PHRASE window so a TIME (CLOCK) display doesn't effect
the text display and what is exported. We also fixed the Add_Form command
of CARDXF; it always went to Delete_form.
-----
08/05/87 - Note: Since PRO-WAM uses the DOS facility of flagging open
files, if you prematurely abort an application (by RESET, for instance),
any data file used by the application may be left in an "open" state.
This can be observed as a question mark appearing in the "attr" field of
a DIRectory listing. That would also cause a "Invalid access to protected
file" error the next time you tried to WRITE to the file. Correct this
problem by entering the DOS command, RESET filespec.
-----
07/10/87 - The SLIMLIB/JCL procedure builds a "getting started" WAM0/APL
application library derived from the complete library, WAM1/APL. This
requires the availability of WAMLIB, WAM1/APL, space on drive 1, and NO
available WAM0/APL. "DO SLIMLIB" starts the procedure.
-----
07/10/87 - Note for SuperScripsit Users: We have added Lynn Sherman's
modification to SS for use with PRO-WAM. See the file SSFIX/TXT for
the details. The patches are contained in the file, SSFIX/JCL.
-----
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: TRSDOS 6.2 and some versions of LS-DOS 6.3 must
have a patch applied to correct a deficiency in the system's stack
management during video memory bank swapping. This patch to the BOOT/SYS
system file of TRSDOS 6.2 and LS-DOS 6.3 is required for all users as
certain other application programs may also result in a system stack
conflict. The patch is recommended by Logical Systems and has been applied
to LS-DOS 6.3 Level J disks manufactured after 02/20/87. Please apply
the patch to your working TRSDOS 6.2 system disks or LS-DOS 6.3 (if
needed) by the following procedure after first ensuring that your
SYSTEM drive contains the disk you BOOT from:

     DO FIXBOOT

It will be necessary to re-BOOT your system disk after you have applied
the patch for it to take effect.
