This system is designed to exchange public domain software for
Radio Shack Model 8-bit computers, mostly Models I/III/4. Some
files for Model 100/102 portables are also included. No other
files will be allowed on this system. There are too many other
good locations for those files in this area.

This is a modified version of MiniBBS Version 3.1 originally by
Michael Berstein c1985 and in the public domain. As used here
it will only allow access to files from the download catalog,
not any file on the system like the original version. Also, it
changes the name of uploaded files until they are verified and
placed in the download menu. Feel free to download any files
on the system. Please, upload only PUBLIC DOMAIN software. All
other files will be discarded.

This BBS has a sophisticated message base divided into several
different special interest groups (SIGS). You are encouraged to
leave messages in SIGS that interest you. You may toggle off
any message bases that do not interest you, but it is
recommended that you leave on General Messages and Private
Messages. At present the other bases are: Model I/III/4, Model
100/102, CoCo SIG, Model 1000/EX/SX and Buy/Sell/Trade.

New users have full use of the system except file transfer and
message entry. Please use the (R)egister BBS Users option for
the purpose of leaving your full name, address, an evening or
weekend phone number and a up to 8 character password. Usually,
you will updated in a day or so. Take some time to look around
the system to see if you are truly interested in registering.
You may log on as many times per day as you wish, but your time
your total per day must not exceed your allocated limit which
is usually 60 minutes. Ask if you need more, but remember that
uploads and chat don't count against you.

Most of the features can be tried using a little common sense,
but a word of explanation of the catalog search key is in
order. You can press (Enter) and get a listing of all files
available for downloading. You may decide not to list the 400+
files and may enter a search key instead. Any alphanumeric
character or space may be entered. To list only BASIC files
you would search for "BAS" or " BAS" depending if you where
trying to match any occurrence of BAS or just the extension.
To list only Model 4 programs try "4)", for Model III programs
try "(3" or "3)", and for M100 programs try "(100)". Do not
type in the quotes in the examples!

Some of the extensions you will find in the catalog:
  /ARC - Library of files.Use ARCHIVE4/CMD to recover files.
/AQC - Squeezed library of files. Use USQ4/CMD first.
