If you have GIF4MOD4 by J.F.R. "Frank" Slinkman, you are aware
of the size limitations imposed by the program. It will only
process GIF files no larger than 640x480x256. If you wanted to
view larger files, I guess an MS-DOS machine had to be used or
you were just out of luck.

Well, no more. GIF files larger than 640x480x256 can be
altered so that they can be used by GIF4MOD4. Here's how.

Use any file editor which lets you modify hexadecimal addresses
within a given file. Such programs are FED, TSK, Super
Utility, Hyperzap and the like. Load the GIF file into the
editor and look at the first record of the file. Go into the
hex modify mode of the program (refer to your programs
documentation) and change addresses 06,07,08 and 09 from
whatever values they are to 80,02,E0 and 01 respectively. Save
or update the file, and you're done. Load the file into
GIF4MOD4 and you will be able to see as much of the file which
will fit onto your screen.

That's it.
