Peter Ray, President, of Anitek has prepared a Demo version of
LeScript II Version 2.02 for posting on Del Ches. EXCEPT FOR
SAVING to disk this is the complete program. Dictionary,
Printer Drivers, File Finder, extensive Help, Tutorial, Support
for Expanded Memory and the PC Character Set, it's all here,
and on Del Ches!

THE BEST TRS-80 WORD PROCESSOR IS STILL IMPROVING AND IS STILL
FULLY SUPPORTED! Anitek has developed several modifications for
our TRS-80's. Read the opening screens for a list of products
and call Anitek for additional information. (Several TRS NOTES
on the Del Ches TANDY/TRS Sig. discuss my experience with these
modifications.)

I have had the DEMO for several weeks but was so astounded by
Anitek's response to my "May we have a LeScript Demo" request
I wanted to be sure I did justice to their support of Del Ches.
Several Tests and Telephone calls later, here it is! PLEASE
RESPECT their faith in us! Try it, Like it, Buy it (We get a
special price by mentioning Del Ches).

DOWNLOADING and INSTALLING:

I have tested the LeScript Demo on my much modified 4p and on
a "stock" 64k Model 4 in both Model III and 4 modes. The down-
load procedure was tested by "Null Modem" with my 1400 using
TELIX and FTII (Mod 4) or MODEM80 (Mod III). The archives were
extracted via DEARC/CMD on the TRS-80's. LDOS 6.3.1 was used on
the 4p, TRSDOS 6.2 on the 4 and 1.3 in Mod III mode.

Model III or 4 with Single Side Drives:
  Format 4 disks.
Backup your system disk to one of the above. Label as 1.
Purge all non system files on disk 1.
  (Mod 4) Purge SYS5, 9, 11, 13/SYS also.
Backup the reduced system disk (1) to 2 others (2 and 3).
  Copy DEARC/CMD to disks 2 and 3.
  Download LSCRIPT1/ARC to disk 2.
  Download LSCRIPT2/ARC to disk 3.
Label Disk 1 as LESCRIPT DEMO - PROGRAM.
Place Disk 1 in drive :1.
Place Disk 2 in drive :0.
  DEARC LSCRIPT1/ARC :1
Label Disk 4 as LESCRIPT DEMO - DICTIONARY.
Place Disk 4 in drive :1.
Place Disk 3 in drive :0.
  DEARC LSCRIPT2/ARC :1
Place LESCRIPT DEMO - PROGRAM in Drive :0.
Place LESCRIPT DEMO - DICTIONARY in Drive :1.
Type LESCRIPT <ENTER> and unless you are using Word Perfect
you will be testing your new Word Processor.

Model III or 4 with Double Side Drives:
Make a reduced System disk as above. Label as LESCRIPT DEMO.
Make sure you have 180k free on your communications disk.
Download LSCRIPT1/ARC and LSCRIPT2/ARC to your comm. disk(:0)
Place the Reduced System (LESCRIPT DEMO) disk in :1
  DEARC LSCRIPT1/ARC :1
  DEARC LSCRIPT2/ARC :1
Place LESCRIPT DEMO in :0, Type LESCRIPT <ENTER>.

IF YOU HAVE BOTH TRS AND MS-DOS COMPUTERS:

A lot of time can be saved by downloading on an MS-DOS
computer, extract with PKUNPAK and null modem the files
  to your TRS.

USING LESCRIPT DEMO:

The opening screens will get you started, just remember to use
Control or Clear ? to bring up the HELP Menu after the opening
screens are finished. Use Control or Clear Z to exit any of the
functions. If you remember these two key sequences, you will
soon be at ease with LeScript.

With a "stock" TRS-80 you won't have much memory to work with
but you can use all the features of LeScript. Even print to a
Laser! Use the Help feature, Load the tutorial, Explore and
ENJOY! (One of the calls to Anitek was "You included both of
the Tutorial Files?" "Yes, except for writing to disk, it's all
there".)

The DEMO even supported the PC-SET and 1meg of memory on the
4p, IN BOTH MOD III and 4 MODES! Oh, I forgot, A Model III has
an 80 by 24 screen with LeScript!

If you haven't guessed by now, I am a dedicated Anitek Fan!! I
have used LeScript since 1984, not just for Word Processing but
as an Editor in producing source code and with find and replace
I produced Basic code for MS-DOS machines long before I had one.
(Test on the 4, then find "PRINT @" replace "LOCATE", etc.)

We Del Ches Callers are fortunate to have this DEMO! Please
Don't abuse Anitek's Faith in us! On one of my calls before
posting the LeScript Demo, I asked about their thoughts on
Del Ches callers uploading to other boards. This is new to them
as well as to us (We have an exclusive on this demo), so, if
you do want to share the Demo with others, DON'T CHANGE OR
MODIFY THE ARCHIVES, LET ME KNOW WHERE YOU UPLOADED BY Del Ches
E-MAIL and I'll keep Anitek informed.
