There have been several patches that have been placed in the Public Domain
for speeded up Model IV's. Whether "homebrewed" or Anitek speedups are used
there is likely to be some software timing changes needed. All of the patches
in this archive were derived from others. The XLR8R fix files were non-CPU
specific patches distributed for use with the XLR8R board which uses an
Hitachi HD64180 microprocessor and thus accomplishes the speed-up with the
architecture of the chip more than speeding up the clock. The patches
included here can also be used with the Z-80. This Archive is thus to
simply gather these patches together from separate sources for the users
convenience. They are not the product of my labors although I have tried
them (in getting a friends Anitek speeded up Model IV to work -- I use the
XLR8R-Board myself which I can also recommend.)

Note: A persistent problem with this speeded up Model IV was solved with the
help of Dave Dalager, namely the 5V supply to the memory chips is critical
for speeded up operation. I measured 4.79V and found a bad connection of the
power supply to the board. Fixing that brought the voltage back up to 5.01V
and proper operation. Thanks Dave.
