Put the peel in a tall glass, leaving one end hanging over the edge of the glass. Fill the glass with crushed ices. Pour in the brandy, lemon juice, and bitters. Stir well. Allow to stand for five minutes. Add the hot rum   and 2 oz (60 ml) boiling water. Add the sugar and beat some more. SLowlyadd the hot milk, beating constantly. Heat, stirring         constantly. Add the instant coffee and mix well. Beat the egg until foamy.    Beat in cream.
