Doc File for UNPIT4 Version 01.00.02 This release should constitute the working (non-BETA) release of the program. All modifications have been completed and no uncorrected errors have been reported. In this version (third release), two files /INF and /DAT are now combined into one file with a /DAT extension. Rudimentary error checking for i/o errors have been incorporated and should be sufficient (though somewhat terse) to handle disk full, other write errors, or any read errors that might occur. Filenames are checked for proper TRS/LS-DOS syntax with the exception of the alpha first character check and illegal characters are converted to "Z". The source is included in the /ARC for any further modification that may be desired. Note that custom video routines are utilized but may be easily replaced. This version is adapted from the CP/M version and is written in C and compiled by the AZTEC compiler. Some clues for proper operation: Be sure and specify a drivespec on the PIT file as follows: unpit4 test:1 Note that there is no need to specify the extension since the program assumes a /PIT extension. All ouput files will then be written to the same drive as the PIT file. Failure to supply a drivespec will cause all output files to be written to drive 0. Typing UNPIT4 without a filespec following will cause a help screen to be written. Note that the /INF and /DAT files are written to one file - /DAT. The /RSC portion is now discarded as information provided indicates that it is not needed. Note also, that I have no way of checking proper operation of this program. Please report problems on SSE BBS (714) 963-7864 or on CIS ppn 71525,1363 on the LDOS or TRS80PRO SIGS. David Huelsmann January 31, 1988
