University of Kansas continues to provide a listserv for dos-lynx programs. Questions and help inquiries may receive faster or wider response if you post them there. It is not a high traffic list and to post, you must be subscribed. The attached is the welcome page for new subscribers which explains how this is done. -------------------------------------------------------------------- < Welcome to the DOSLYNX-DEV Mailing List! -------------------------------------------------------------------- / While primarily meant for technical discussions about the development of DosLynx, this list also allows less technical questions and discussions about DosLynx and other DOS-related web issues, including other Lynx-derived ports such as Bobcat and various ports of Lynx (for 386 and/or Windows). It is normally a low to medium traffic list, with perhaps a dozen messages a week on average. Wayne Buttles is the current primary developer of DosLynx, as well as Bobcat and several other Lynx ports. Due to technical difficulties, DosLynx development is currently at a stand-still. Bobcat, a derivative of the much more capable Unix Lynx, is Wayne's primary DOS focus at present, and should be downloaded and tried by anyone needing a DOS web browser. In general, it appears to be faster and more reliable than DosLynx, and supports forms, which the newest versions of DosLynx do only to a very limited extent. Finally, just a reminder that there are multiple E-Mail addresses associated with this list. Please make sure you use the correct address when you send E-Mail! Web Support: http://www.fdisk.com/doslynx/ Wayne has set up a nice page for DosLynx, Bobcat, and various other items of interest to DOS webbers. He has also made the archive of doslynx-dev available on his site, way back to April of 1994. Finally, this is where you always want to go to get the newest versions of DosLynx and Bobcat!
