 1.0 NETWARE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FEATURES
 =========================================

Simple NetWork Management Protocol (SNMP) trap data is included with
NetWare for SAA 2.0 so that NetWare for SAA event messages can be displayed
in the NetWare Management System (NMS) alarm monitor and alarm report. To
access this feature, perform the following tasks:

 1. Copy the CE.MIB and SNA.MIB files to the NMS\SNMPMIBS\TRAPMIBS directory
on your Netware Management System workstation.

The CE.MIB file is located in the NMS directory on the COMMEXEC Diskette 4.
The SNA.MIB file is located in the NMS directory on the NWSAA diskette 1.

 2. Refer to NetWare Management System (NMS) documentation for instructions
on integrating the trap MIBs into the NetWare Management System.
Currently, integration requires accessing the SNMP Alarm Integrator
    from the NMS Tools menu.

 3. To enable context-sensitive help from the NetWare Management System alarm
report, copy the CE.HLP and SNA.HLP files to the NMS\Help directory on
your Netware Management System (NMS) workstation.

The CE.HLP file is located in the NMS directory on the COMMEXEC Diskette 4.
The SNA.HLP file is located in the NMS directory on the NWSAA diskette 1.

 4. Add the network address of your NetWare Management System workstation
to the Protocol IPX(tm) section of the TRAPTARG.CFG file on each server
from which you want NetWare for SAA event messages received by the
NetWare Management System (NMS) alarm monitor and alarm report.

The TRAPTARG.CFG file is located in the ETC directory of the SYS: volume
    on your NetWare server.

 5. A new keyword is available for the NVPARM.DB configuration file that
you can use to block selected alerts from being sent to NetWare
Management System (NMS), NetWare for SAA Services Manager, or NetView.
You can find general information regarding NVPARM.DB in the NetWare for
SAA 2.0 Administration Guide for Mainframes and Peer Nodes, Appendix B,
    "NetWare for SAA NetView Support."

 6. The NVPARM.DB file has a new attribute that prevents Netware Management
Agent(tm) (NMA) from sending an invalid login alert to NetWare for SAA
System Services Manager (SSM) and NetWare Management System.
