LANTASTIC POWER SUITE INSTALLATION ISSUES
=========================================

WINDOWS SETUP NOTES

Close all applications before running the Windows
Setup program, and turn off all screen savers and
  resident virus protection programs.

If you see the error message "Setup is unable to
  initialize the installation program (SETUP.EXE).
Error 201, Error 202" -- this indicates that there
wasn't enough memory or free disk space to
initialize the Setup program. From Program Manager,
select Help, then select About Program Manager to
check your free memory. If your computer has less
than 4000K available, create a Windows swap file
as instructed in your Microsoft Windows manual.

DOS INSTALL NOTES

The DOS INSTALL will load with as little as 400K
available conventional memory AND 2MB available
extended memory (which can be XMS (HIMEM.SYS) or
  EMS).

Set FILES=60 (or higher) in your CONFIG.SYS
  file.

  A mouse is highly recommended.

Hint text changes slowly. You can't make any
selections or keystrokes until the hints finish
  appearing on the screen.

The DOS INSTALL program may lock up on some
brands of computers shortly after installation
begins. If this occurs, add EMM386 to your
CONFIG.SYS file to make EMS available -- then
  reinstall.

NOTES FOR BOTH DOS AND WINDOWS

If you plan to install cc:Mail, you must run DOS
SHARE (or LANtastic Internal SHARE) on the computer
that you wish to make the cc:Mail post office during
installation or you won't be able to choose cc:Mail
post office. More information about cc:Mail post
offices appears below under the heading Reinstalling
  LANtastic Power Suite programs.

The Power Suite documentation and installation
screens incorrectly specify that 5MB of disk space
are needed to install the on-line manuals. The
actual disk space requirements for the on-line
  manuals are 6.5MB.

For your convenience, the NRSETUP.EXE and NRMOVE.EXE
files necessary for configuring a NodeRunner network
adapter have been included on Disk 2 of the LANtastic
Power Suite installation diskettes. See your
NodeRunner adapter documentation for information on
  using these utilities.

AUTOMATIC DRIVE REDIRECTIONS

On computers on which you're installing the cc:Mail
  or Organizer user files:

M: is the drive that's automatically redirected to
    the cc:Mail post office, and
O: is the drive that's automatically redirected to
    the Organizer database server.

Because of this, you should check existing drive
connections on any computers that are running a
previous version of LANtastic before you install
LANtastic Power Suite. If you want to install the
cc:Mail user files on a computer, make sure that its
M: drive is available for redirection. If you want
to install the Organizer user files, make sure the
  O: drive is available.

INSTALLATION ERROR MESSAGES

If you receive an error message during installation,
check this section in addition to the error messages
chapter in your Custom Setup and Troubleshooting
  Guide.

"Fatal error 286:2230: Load program failed -- out
  of memory"
If you're running the LANtastic Power Suite DOS
INSTALL program and you receive this message, it
  could be because:
  > you're using the NOEMS switch with the Windows V3.1
version of EMM386.EXE. You can solve this problem
one of two ways: either use the DOS version of
HIMEM/EMM386 or remove the NOEMS switch from the
    EMM386 line.
  or
  > you're reinstalling LANtastic Power Suite with the
DOS INSTALL program and Workstation Cache is
running on your computer. Exit INSTALL and unload
Workstation Cache by typing WSCACHE /REM <Enter>
    at the DOS prompt.

  "Out of environment space"
You may have had a SHELL command in your CONFIG.SYS
file before you installed LANtastic Power Suite, and
its setting is too low. Edit your CONFIG.SYS file to
increase the value in the SHELL= line to at least
  2000 (e.g., /E:2000).

"An error occurred while copying and decompressing
   files (-2)"
You may have a damaged floppy diskette or a file is
missing from the diskette or the Install Services
directory. If you're installing from diskettes,
try copying the diskette image to a new diskette.
If the copy also fails, you can obtain an image from
the LANtastic Power Suite CD-ROM \DISKS directory.
Locate the subdirectory under \DISKS that matches
the number of the failing diskette.

INSTALLING TO A FLOPPY DRIVE

Installing floppy files to a hard disk and copying
  them to a floppy:
If you choose "Floppy" or "Tiny Floppy" during
installation, the default program directory path
will be C:\LANTASTI\FLOPPY. You can change the
path to a subdirectory on your A: or B: floppy
drive or you can install the files to the hard
disk and copy them to a floppy diskette later.

When you install floppy files to a hard disk
directory, CONFIG.NEW and AUTOEXEC.NEW files are
placed in the program directory path
    (C:\LANTASTI\FLOPPY). These .NEW files contain
lines that must be added to a bootable floppy
CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT. Follow these steps
    to create your floppy diskette:

    1. Make a LANTASTI subdirectory on the diskette
       (A:\LANTASTI).

    2. Copy all the files from the hard disk program
       directory you specified during installation
(the default is C:\LANTASTI\FLOPPY) to the
       LANTASTI subdirectory on the diskette.

    3. If your floppy diskette is bootable, use an
editor to manually add the lines found in
       A:\LANTASTI\CONFIG.NEW and
       A:\LANTASTI\AUTOEXEC.NEW to the CONFIG.SYS and
AUTOEXEC.BAT files on the floppy diskette. If
you don't know how to make a bootable floppy,
       consult your DOS documentation.

    4. If you're going to use this floppy diskette in
your B: drive, you must use an editor to change
all lines in CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, and
       \LANTASTI\STARTNET.BAT to B:\LANTASTI instead of
       A:\LANTASTI.

Furthermore, if you select Floppy or Tiny Floppy
  during installation, these limitations apply:

Only DOS workstation files are installed into the
directory you specify. A Tiny Floppy (360KB)
receives only a minimum set of files.

Tiny Floppy must be used with native LANtastic
drivers (that is, the NodeRunner or Common option
on the Network Adapter Setup screen).

The universal client options for NCP and SMB
support can't be used with Tiny Floppy.

LANtastic's new Workstation Cache isn't supported
by either Floppy or Tiny Floppy.

The Tiny Floppy files require 180K of free space on
a 360K floppy. In order to obtain this space, you
may need to remove the hidden file DBLSPACE.BIN
or DRVSPACE.BIN. To see these files on the floppy,
type ATTRIB A:\*.*. To remove one of them, type
    DEL A:[filename] <Enter>.

If you install to a floppy drive letter (A: or B:)
the configuration files are created to allow the
floppy to be used in that drive.

Be sure to make a backup of the floppy diskette
    before you install to it.

MULTIPLE BOOT CONFIGURATIONS (BOOT MENUS)

If, during LANtastic installation, you choose
"Replace existing settings" and your computer has
multiple boot configurations (boot menus), the Setup
program will inform you that it has detected a
multiple boot configuration -- and because of that,
it won't modify the existing CONFIG.SYS or
AUTOEXEC.BAT files. Instead, it creates the files
CONFIG.NEW and AUTOEXEC.NEW. These .NEW files
contain only the changes required for LANtastic
Power Suite. After installation, you must
incorporate these changes into your existing
  CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files using a text
  editor.

If you're installing LANtastic Power Suite on a
Windows for Workgroups computer that has multiple
boot configurations (boot menus), you must edit your
CONFIG.SYS file after installation and delete this
  line: DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS.

For complete information about configuration files,
refer to your Custom Setup and Troubleshooting
Guide. The file EXAMPLES.TXT also contains
information about editing your configuration files
for various purposes. EXAMPLES.TXT is located in
your LANtastic program directory (C:\LANTASTI is
  the default path).

USING THE POUND SIGN (#) FOR YOUR COMPUTER NAME

Using "#" on the REDIR command line of your
STARTNET.BAT file will set the computer name to the
network node ID. This is typically used for remote
boot workstations. If you used "#" as your
computer name on the REDIR command line, the
installation program will ask you to type in a new
computer name. After installation is finished, you
can change your computer name on the REDIR command
line back to "#" if you wish.

REINSTALLING LANTASTIC POWER SUITE PROGRAMS

Follow the instructions in this section if you're
installing LANtastic Power Suite over a previous
version of LANtastic or a previous version of Lotus
cc:Mail or Organizer. (See also the "uninstall"
instructions in the Troubleshooting chapter of
your Custom Setup and Troubleshooting Guide.)

  CC:MAIL AND ORGANIZER

If you're installing a cc:Mail post office or an
Organizer Database over an existing post office or
Database, make sure that all users are logged out
  of the computer before installing.

When installing cc:Mail over an existing post office,
be sure you specify the existing post office name on
the cc:Mail setup screen. The LANtastic Power Suite
installation programs won't overwrite an existing
cc:Mail post office. If you want to create a new
post office, delete the files in the old post office
  (C:\LANTASTI\CCMAIL\CCDATA).

If you reinstall the Organizer Database over an
existing Organizer Database, you'll lose your list
of users. As soon as you build a user list, you
should back it up. Then if you lose the list you
  can easily restore it.

  BITSHARE/BITWARE

If you've previously installed BitShare/BitWare and
you want to reinstall on the modem host, make sure
MSERVER is not loaded before you reinstall. If
MSERVER is running, the installation will find the
modem on a redirected port instead of a physical
  port.

POSSIBLE SHARE ERROR MESSAGES UNDER WINDOWS

"You must exit Windows and load SHARE.EXE."
If you're installing LANtastic or LANtastic Power
Suite over an existing Windows for Workgroups
installation, you must either load DOS SHARE or use
LANtastic's Internal SHARE feature. Be sure to
configure the SHARE you're using with least 500 locks
and 4096K of name space memory, as described in your
  DOS or LANtastic manuals.

 "Cannot write to disk"
If you get this message while trying to print or
save a file from a Windows application, set the
LANtastic Internal SHARE feature or DOS SHARE
program's parameters to at least these values:
       For DOS SHARE: SHARE.EXE /L:500 /F:4096
For LANtastic's Internal SHARE: 500 locks and
       4096K of name space memory.
See your LANtastic or DOS manuals for instructions on
increasing these values for the SHARE you're using.

====================================
CHEYENNE BITWARE AND BITSHARE ISSUES
====================================

If you're using the DOS INSTALL program, find out
which COM port your modem is using before you
install the BitWare portion of LANtastic Power
Suite. If you have an external modem, look at
which numbered COM port it's connected to on the
back of your computer. If you have an internal
modem, refer to your modem documentation for
instructions on checking which COM port it's using.

If you're using BitCom for Windows, you can't
redirect a port to a modem that Windows is using
  for a serial mouse.

If you're using BitFax for Windows, the Receive
Manager may not configure to answer the phone
unless you set the mode to Fax/Data.

If you're disconnected from the modem server in
BitCom, select the Action pull-down menu and
  choose Connect.

If BitShare is loaded but your modem is turned off,
BitShare changes the modem host line status to Out.
You'll see a message stating that the modem is
either off or busy. To activate the line status
after you've turned the modem on, DON'T select
Retry. Instead, open Server Status, type in the line
number (modem number) and press Enter.

Modem names consist of your servername with a number
in front of it. If your server is DANIEL, your modem
might be named 1 DANIEL. So you'd type 1 <Enter> in
Server Status to change the line status.

If you don't want BitGate loaded automatically when
Windows is loaded, you must remove the BitGate
command from the LOAD line in your WIN.INI file.
  That line normally reads:
  LOAD=C:\LANTASTI\BITWARE\BITGATE.EXE.

If you want BitGate to load automatically when
Windows is loaded but you don't have a physical
modem on your computer, open "port and status setup"
in BitShare. Make sure a port is redirected to the
shared modem, then select Transmit Fax and make sure
the modem setup is correct for your particular
  fax/modem.

INSTALLING THE POST OFFICE ON A LANTASTIC DEDICATED
SERVER

You can install the cc:Mail Post Office on a
LANtastic Dedicated Server from a LANtastic
  workstation by following these steps:

  1. Use NET_MGR to create a CCMAIL resource on the
LANtastic Dedicated Server. Make sure that at
least 15MB of free disk space is available, and
that everyone who will be using the resource
      has the R, W, C, L and E account privileges.
More disk space will be required if a large
number of messages or large attachments will be
stored on the cc:Mail post office.

  2. Select the workstation you want to use to
administer the cc:Mail post office. If LANtastic
isn't already installed and running on the
workstation, run Setup or INSTALL and install
just the LANtastic component of Power Suite. Then
restart the computer. Once LANtastic is running
on the workstation, use Windows-based LANtastic
Net or DOS-based NET to connect the M: drive to
the CCMAIL resource on the Dedicated Server.

  3. Run the LANtastic Power Suite Setup or INSTALL
program again and select Lotus cc:Mail
installation. You can also choose to Keep your
existing settings. At the cc:Mail post office
Setup screen, change the Mail Post Office
directory from the default setting to M:\DIR,
where DIR is the name of the post office
directory. Leave the User directory set to the
      default.

  4. Complete the installation by following the
instructions in the Custom Setup and
      Troubleshooting Guide.

The cc:Mail post office is now installed on your
dedicated server. Enter the computer name of the
dedicated server as the post office computer for each
cc:Mail user installation on your network.

======================
LOTUS ORGANIZER ISSUES
======================

During Organizer installation, if you choose the
group scheduling option, the user programs will run
from the database computer. They can't be run from
another computer. Setup installs only 200K of
initialization files on each user's computer.

INSTALLING THE DATABASE ON A LANTASTIC DEDICATED SERVER

You can install the Organizer database on a LANtastic
Dedicated Server from a Windows workstation by
  following these steps:

  1. Use Windows-based LANtastic Network Manager or
DOS-based NET_MGR to create an ORGANIZE resource
on the LANtastic Dedicated Server. Make sure that
at least 12MB of free disk space is available,
and that everyone who'll be using the resource has
     the R, W, C, L and E account privileges.

  2. Select a workstation that will be used to
administer the Organizer database. If LANtastic
for Windows isn't already installed and running
on the workstation, run Setup and install just
the LANtastic component of Power Suite. Then
restart the computer. Once LANtastic for Windows
is running on the workstation, use the Windows-
based LANtastic Net program or DOS-based NET to
connect the O: drive to the ORGANIZE resource on
     the Dedicated Server.

  3. Run the LANtastic Power Suite Setup program
again and select Lotus Organizer installation.
You can also choose to Keep your existing
settings. At the Organizer Database Setup screen,
change the Database directory from the default
setting to O:\ DIR, where DIR is the name of the
Database directory. Leave the User directory set
to the default. Complete the installation by
following the instructions in the Custom Setup
     and Troubleshooting Guide.

The Organizer database is now installed on your
dedicated server. Enter the computer name of the
dedicated server as the database computer for each
Organizer user installation on your network.

ORGANIZER CC:MAIL AGENT SETUP

Don't install the cc:Mail scheduling agent on a
  computer that's running Organizer.

Create the scheduling agent from the Organizer
Administration program (NOT from within cc:Mail
  as the Lotus documentation indicates).

=======================================
CHANGING FROM LANTASTIC MAIL TO CC:MAIL
=======================================

If you're upgrading from a previous version of
LANtastic to LANtastic Power Suite, and you've been
using LANtastic Mail, you can't move your accounts
  and messages to cc:Mail.

NOTE: This restriction doesn't apply to Exchange
Mail. For instructions on moving Exchange Mail
accounts and messages into cc:Mail, refer to
Appendix C of your Custom Setup and
    Troubleshooting Guide.

You can still use LANtastic Mail or open it to
review its contents. To do this once you've
installed cc:Mail, you must modify a line in both
the LANTASTI.CFG file and (for Windows) the WNET.INI
file. Open each file with a text editor and change the
ExternalMail= setting in both files to NO. When you
want to switch back to cc:Mail, change the setting
in both files back to ExternalMail=YES. This lets
you launch cc:Mail from the NET (DOS) and LANtastic
  Net (Windows) menus.

=====================================================
CONFIGURATION FILES AFFECTED BY LANTASTIC POWER SUITE
=====================================================

A complete list of configuration files that
LANtastic Power Suite modifies and creates appears
in Chapter 6 of your Custom Setup and Troubleshooting
Guide. Chapter 6 also explains what happens to your
configuration files when you choose Keep Existing
Settings or Replace Existing Settings during
installation. Changes to your WIN.INI and SYSTEM.INI
files are explained in Chapter 5 of the same guide.

===============
PRINTING ISSUES
===============

SETTING UP PRINTER CONNECTIONS

If you already have a printer connected to the LPT1
port on your computer before installing LANtastic
Power Suite, don't use LPT1 to connect to printers
on other computers. If you're using Quick Setup,
choose the Change Defaults button to change the
  printer port.

HP JETDIRECT PRINTERS AND PRINTER POOLS

HP JetDirect printer resources won't work within
a printer pool. If you place a HP JetDirect resource
in a printer pool, it may stop all printing functions
on the server that has the printer pool resource.
You must set up and use individual resources for each
  HP JetDirect printer.

HP JETDIRECT PRINTER TROUBLESHOOTING

Your HP JetDirect print server doesn't work:
Make sure the BINDINGS= line in the MS$DLC section
of the PROTOCOL.INI file (in the C:\LANTASTI
directory) is set to the NIF section for your
adapter. This setting should match the BIND_TO=
setting on the AI-NDIS command line in your
    STARTNET.BAT file.

Examples of what your PROTOCOL.INI file should
look like for HP JetDirect printer support are
available in the EXAMPLES.TXT file, located in
    your LANtastic program directory (C:\LANTASTI
is the default path). Instructions for adding
an HP JetDirect printer to your network are in
Chapter 6 of the Custom Setup and Troubleshooting
    Guide.

Your server locks up while loading, and one of your
HP JetDirect resources is using adapter 1:
If you have two adapters, and you want to connect
to HP JetDirect printers via both adapter 0 and
adapter 1, you must change the BINDINGS= line in
the MS$DLC section of your PROTOCOL.INI file to:
    BINDINGS=AEXNDIS_NIF,AEXNDIS_NIF2
...where AEXNDIS_NIF and AEXNDIS_NIF2 are the NIF
sections for your adapters. Multiple adapter
configuration information is available in the
EXAMPLES.TXT file, located in your LANtastic
program directory (C:\LANTASTI is the default
    path).

CREATING A CS PRINT OR HP JETDIRECT RESOURCE

The first time you create a CS Print resource (for
Central Station) or an HP JetDirect printer
resource, reboot your computer to reload the
SERVER program. These printer resources won't
be available until you've done this. You only need
    to do this once.

========================
WORKSTATION CACHE ISSUES
========================

Changes you make to Workstation Cache parameters
with the Workstation Cache Utility program (WSUTIL)
stay in effect only until Workstation Cache is
removed or you reboot your computer. To make
permanent changes, edit the WSRUN.BAT file in the
  LANtastic program directory (usually C:\LANTASTI)
and modify the WSCACHE command line. See the
on-line manuals for information on WSCACHE command
  line switches.

If you experience problems while running DOS
programs under Windows, you may need to remove
Workstation Cache. Exit Windows and type
WSCACHE /REM <Enter> at the DOS prompt.

===============================================
CORRECTED INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING AND USING
THE LANTASTIC POWER SUITE ON-LINE MANUALS
===============================================

LANtastic Power Suite gives you two sets of on-line
manuals that have identical contents. One set comes
in highly "searchable" hypertext format and can be
installed on your hard disk along with the LANtastic
Power Suite software. The other set of manuals comes
on the LANtastic Power Suite CD-ROM in a file format
that's easy to print and read. Each set has its
advantages and disadvantages, as described later in
  this section.

Your LANtastic Power Suite Quick Start Manual
provides a list and description of every book in
your on-line manual set. This section of the README
file tells you how to install and use the two types
  of on-line manuals.

INSTALLING THE HYPERTEXT MANUALS ON YOUR HARD DISK

You can install DOS and Windows versions of the
read-only on-line manual set on one or more of your
hard disks, along with the LANtastic Power Suite
software. For the reasons outlined below, it's best
to install these hypertext manuals on the hard drive
of one or more workstations on your network. People
who work at servers can then go to the nearest
workstation and view the on-line manuals from there.
The files require 5MB of disk space.

It's best to install the on-line manual set on a
workstation because you can only view the hypertext
manuals when you're sitting at a computer that has
them installed on its hard disk. The instructions in
Edition 1 of the Quick Start Manual incorrectly
state that you can make a drive connection to a
server that has the manuals installed and view them
at your own computer. If you install the hypertext
manuals on only your mail/scheduling server (as
advised in Edition 1 of the Quick Start Manual),
then everyone on your network will have to
physically go to that server in order to view them.
Furthermore, while you're viewing the manuals you
may encounter performance problems when other people
log in to the server to use its cc:Mail post office,
  files and printers.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF THE HYPERTEXT MANUALS

The manuals on your hard disk provide many
  sophisticated hypertext navigational features such
as an interactive table of contents and index, along
with full search and notation functions. In the
Windows interface, you can print topics or entire
chapters, complete with text formatting. However,
each topic appears on a separate page, which
requires a lot of paper. If you need to use the DOS
interface, you may experience printing and computer
  lockup problems, as outlined below.

GUIDELINES FOR USING THE HYPERTEXT MANUALS

For best results in viewing and printing these
  manuals:

Install and view them on a workstation. If you do
this, a person who is working at a server can go to
the nearest workstation to read the hypertext
  manuals.

It's best to view the hypertext manuals from Windows
  rather than DOS.

If you must install and view these manuals on a
server, hypertext performance will be fastest when
no one else is logged in to that server and using
  its files or printers.

After installation you should make backup copy of
the hypertext manual .INI files. To do this, after
your LANtastic Power Suite installation is complete,
go to the DOS prompt and change to the directory in
which the hypertext manuals reside. The default
location is C:\LANTASTI\MANUAL. Once you've gone
  to the subdirectory, type:
  COPY HR.INI HR.BAK <Enter>, then type:
  COPY HRW.INI HRW.BAK <Enter>.
(HR.INI for DOS and HRW.INI for Windows.)
You might have to use these backup files in the
event that you lose the hypertext manual preferences
you've set. You might also need to use these backup
files if you use the History function for an
extended period of time and your computer locks up
or you see the error message "Link document
missing." If this happens, reboot your computer and
restore your original hypertext manual .INI files by
  typing COPY HR.BAK HR.INI <Enter> (for DOS) and/or
  COPY HRW.BAK HRW.INI <Enter> (for Windows).

To view the hypertext manuals, choose the On-line
Manuals icon in the LANtastic program group
(Windows) or an option in the NET menu (DOS).

For complete details on using the hypertext manuals,
choose the Using the On-line Manuals button from
the menu that appears after you choose the icon
or menu option. You can also use the extensive
on-line Help provided by HyperWriter(TM) from
  Ntergaid(TM).

  PRINTING THE HYPERTEXT ON-LINE MANUALS

For best results, print the hypertext manuals
using the Windows interface on a computer that has a
printer directly attached. This gives you book
page format and avoids possible printing problems.

Better yet, if you have a CD-ROM drive, print the
book-format manuals provided on the CD-ROM. This
gives you a table of contents and index with correct
page number references in a format that conserves
paper and closely resembles a published book.

CD-ROM ON-LINE MANUALS

These manuals are included on the LANtastic Power
Suite CD-ROM. In order to view them in either DOS
or Windows, you must have at least one computer
with a CD-ROM drive. When you print these
read-only manuals, you get output that looks much
  like a published book.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF THE CD-ROM MANUALS

These manuals operate equally well in the DOS and
Windows interfaces. They're easy to print and easy
to read because they have book page formatting, and
they can be copied double-sided. The CD-ROM manuals
provide Go to Page and Find navigational functions,
as well as basic notation tools. But unlike the
on-line manual set installed on your hard drive,
they don't have sophisticated hypertext navigational
tools and they may operate more slowly.

GUIDELINES FOR USING THE CD-ROM MANUALS

Insert the LANtastic Power Suite CD into your CD-ROM
drive, then follow the instructions below to open
the manuals in Windows or DOS. The first step is
  installing the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  DOS: INSTALLING THE READER

At the DOS prompt, type D: <Enter> where D is your
CD-ROM drive letter, then type CD DOCS\DOS <Enter>.
  Type INSTALL <Enter>.

Follow the prompts to install the Adobe Acrobat DOS
reader on your hard drive. Press Enter to continue
past the licensing screen, because Artisoft has met
  Adobe's licensing requirements through LANtastic
Power Suite. At the end of this process, reboot
  your computer.

To view the manuals, go back to the directory on
your hard drive where you installed Acrobat (the
default is C:\ACRODOS). Type ACROBAT <Enter>. From
the File menu, select Open, then double-click on
your CD-ROM drive letter. In the DOCS directory,
select the .PDF file that you want to open. The
filenames are listed at the end of this section.
To see a brief description of each file, open the
file named ROADMAP.PDF. To print from the DOS
Reader, first go to Print Setup and make sure the
type of printer you're using is selected: either
PostScript(R) or Bitmap (select Bitmap for all
non-PostScript printers). If you select Bitmap,
scroll through the list of printer drivers and
  select the appropriate driver.

  WINDOWS: INSTALLING THE READER

From Program Manager, select File and choose Run.
Type in D:\DOCS\ACROREAD where D: is your
CD-ROM drive letter, then choose OK. Follow the
prompts to install Reader. Press Enter to continue
past the licensing screen, because Artisoft has met
  Adobe's licensing requirements through LANtastic
Power Suite. When installation is finished, double-
click on the Acrobat Reader 2.0 icon. To view a
manual, go to Drives and select the CD-ROM drive,
select the path under DOCS, choose a filename
  then select OK.

Here are the names of the PDF files. Open
ROADMAP.PDF (the CD-ROM Documentation Road Map) to
see a brief description of each file's contents.
