PROBLEMS WITH VIDEO DRIVERS

/V - VIDEO DRIVER SWITCH

Certain video cards and drivers are known to be problematic under
Windows. If you experience a system crash while running
Landmark 3.0 with these drivers, try using the /v switch and/or
a standard Windows video driver. Turning this switch on disables
the display of the animation sequence but does not affect the
video benchmark. To set this switch, use the Program Manager,
FILE / RUN and enter the following command:

                A:speed /v

RUNNING LANDMARK 3.0 ON A NETWORK NODE

If you are running Landmark 3.0 on a network node, you may
notice a fluctuation in the benchmark values. Windows allows the
network to interrupt the benchmarks which may cause fluctuations
in the benchmark results.

If you experience this while running Landmark 3.0, disable
the network software. You will notice a significant
improvement in Landmark 3.0's benchmark results.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Landmark 3.0 can be run from the floppy drive or you may
install it to a hard drive.

RUNNING LANDMARK 3.0 FROM A FLOPPY DRIVE

To run Landmark 3.0 from a floppy drive, select FILE / RUN
from the Program Manager. Execute the program SPEED.EXE.

NOTE:

While gaining the advantage of portability, you may sacrifice
a certain amount of speed. Landmark 3.0 must access program
data from the floppy drive and due to the slower performance,
it may cause a delay writing to the screen. This will not affect
the benchmark data.

INSTALLING LANDMARK 3.0 TO A HARD DRIVE

To install Landmark 3.0 to a hard drive, select FILE / RUN
from the Program Manager. Execute the program INSTALL.EXE.

End.
