STACKER ON NETWORKS

If you have a Stacker site license, your agreement with Stac
allows installing Stacker 4.0 for OS/2 & DOS over the network or
on local computers, up to the number specified in the license.
Once Stacker for OS/2 & DOS is placed on a network drive,
users can run Stacker Setup from the network drive to install
Stacker and create Stacker drives at their individual workstations.

To put Stacker for OS/2 & DOS on a network drive:
1. Insert Stacker for OS/2 & DOS Disk 2 in a floppy drive and
   change to that drive.
2. Type CD \TECH to change to the TECH directory.
3. Type STACNET spath dpath
where spath is the source path and
dpath is the target path with a directory for installing Stacker.
For example, you might type STACNET A: M:\PUBLIC\STACKER to
copy files from a floppy disk in drive A and store them in
M:\PUBLIC\STACKER. You must specify both spath and dpath.
4. Follow the directions to let STACNET copy the files to your
   network drive.

To start Stacker Setup from a network directory:
1. Start up the computer directly into DOS.
2. Change to the network directory where the Stacker files reside.
   This is the "installation disk."
3. Type SETUP, and press ENTER.
